My husband and I worked with Clarence Tisdale in finding a new vehicle. I knew what model I was interested in and was approached by Clarence with a smile and enthusiasm to help with our purchase. I recently purchased a 2011 Equinox from McCarthy-Morse to replace my 2006 model, which was also purchased here. I so loved my 2006, but wanted the new 4-cylinder version since my work commute had increase to replace my 2006 model, which was also purchased here. I so loved my 2006, but wanted the new 4-cylinder version since my work commute had increased from 8 to 40 miles daily. I have always worked with Bill Higgins in the service department for my routine maintenance (and the 2006 model NEVER required anything but that) and asked him to recommend a sales person to work with. Bill suggested Mark Welch. I called Mark and had an appointment set up the same day. Mark had the model I was interesed in ready for a test drive and did a wonderful job of explaining all the features. As it turned out, I wasn't wild about the color so Mark suggested another model on the lot with almost exactly the same features, at a price $1,500 lower (when does that happen?!?). I'd done my homework and had a price range in mind for what I was willing to trade for. Within 15 minutes, we came to an agreement on price and I was off to financing, another straight-forward experience, none of the "what can you afford for a payment" questions that attempt to hide interest rates that so many dealers are famous for. The next day I picked up the new Equinox and Mark acted like he had all the time in the world to explain all its wonderful features. Randy Arnold made sure I was familiar with the audio, Bluetooth and Onstar programming and operations. Chevrolet has really done a marvelous job of upgrading these cross-overs! I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase. I consider myself to be a loyal customer, when it's warranted. And McCarthy-Morse definitely has earned my loyalty. Their service department is second to none and they make buying a new vehicle (which can sometimes be a very tramatic experience) pleasant. Every step of my experience with McCarthy-Morse Chevrolet was excellent from my first introduction to Gary my salesman, on through the process of test driving, purchasing and ordering and then procuring the exact car I ordered after a stall in production. I had excellent orientation at time of delivery, and follow up calls to check on my satisfaction and the office staff handled my paperwork in a very timely and cuteous manner. All the reviews are right: the Equinox is a great vehicle. It handles excellent on the road, with a very comfortable placement of the controls, beautiful appointments, and safety features. I can qualify this statement by saying I have had many years of driving all types of vehicles including antique cars. I also went through a process of driving all the major brands before purchasing the Equinox. In my experience of driving the major brands at different dealerships none of them came up to par with McCarthy-Morse Chevrolet. More

The purchase of my new Malibu at McCarthy-Morse Chevrolet was the best car buring experience my wife and I have ever had. We were contacted by Nate DuBose via email following my access of the Consumer Reports web site. After a couple of email exchnages, we came to an agreeable purchase price and we made an appointment for my wife and I to visit McCarthy-Morse that evening. This is where our car buying experience took a giant step forward. When we met Mr. DuBose for the first time in person, we both felt this was a different type of salesman. He was personalble and a true gentleman. He brought the car up from the parking lot, opened all doors, the hood, and trunk explaining the features of the car as we walked around it. He actually knew the features of the car. As my wife test drove the car, Mr. DuBose continued to explain the features to us. At all times he treated us both with respect. After test driving and my wife acknowledged she liked the car, we entered the Dealership to do the final paper work to purchase the vehicle. We had no surprises at the end, no gimmicks or additional attempted add-ons, our previously agreed to purchase price was honored. When we met with the Finance person at the end to complete the purchase, another great positive experience was in the making. He also treated us with respect and was very personalable. While completing the purchase of the vehicle, the salesman from another Dealership I had been working with called my cell phone. I ignored this call. A few minutes later, as we were driving our new Malibu out of the parking lot, the salesman called again. This time I answered. Previously, he had told me there was no way McCarthy-Morse would honor the purchase price they had conveyed to me, there would be surpises at the end. He hung up in disbelief as I conveyed the great experience we had with McCarthy-Morse and we couldn't be any happier. More
