Service reps do not welcome you when you arrive. You have to hunt them down and when you find one you have to wait till they are off the phone. Decided to ask for sevice manager (Wayne). Went for test drive with service manager and he was able to hear issue coming from vehicle and see leak from differential and aslo showed him video i took with phone of many things that was being displayed on my dashboard. Waited for vehicle to be serviced. When asked what was wrong with vehicle, told something that made no sense. Vehicle was taken in for humming sound coming from under truck, differential leaking fluid, blind spot system fault, cross traffic system fault, hill start assist not available, pre-collision assist not available and service advance trac light come on. Leak was due to seal. Humming was due to yolk not inserted completely into transfer case. Now here is what made no sense. First, the remaining issues were not addressed or fixed. Second, I was told that the remaining issues were due to yolk issue. I asked how that is possible and was told that it is because all is connected to drive shaft via ABS. WOW. I dont know how the service rep (Raudel) came up with that. WILL NOT BE TAKING MY VEHICLE TO THIS DEALERSHIP EVER AGAIN. Service department really needs to work on service. More

Do NOT Trust McCombs Ford West – Warranty Runaround and Broken Promises I trusted McCombs Ford West in San Antonio to replace the transmission in my vehicle. I paid over $7,000 for a brand-new transmiss Broken Promises I trusted McCombs Ford West in San Antonio to replace the transmission in my vehicle. I paid over $7,000 for a brand-new transmission, thinking that going through a dealership meant peace of mind, quality work, and a warranty I could rely on. Fast forward less than a year later, and the car developed a serious issue with the flexplate — a part that connects the engine to the transmission, and something the dealership had to remove and reinstall when they put in the new transmission. Instead of taking responsibility, they now tell me the flexplate is “not part of the warranty” and want to charge me another $2,300. This is outrageous. Any customer would assume that when a dealership charges top-dollar for a transmission replacement, the work includes properly handling the connecting parts. Instead, they hide behind fine print, push extra costs back on the customer, and refuse to stand behind their workmanship. What this means for future customers: The warranty doesn’t protect you. They’ll use loopholes to deny coverage. High prices don’t mean high standards. I paid $7,000 and they still left me with another massive bill. Accountability is missing. Rather than standing behind their work, they put the blame on the customer. If you value honesty, accountability, and real warranty coverage, avoid McCombs Ford West. Don’t make the same mistake I did. More
