Painless Shopping Experience In July, I began looking for a car to replace my 2006 Infinity. Did research on the web & narrowed it down to several options, including the Genesis In July, I began looking for a car to replace my 2006 Infinity. Did research on the web & narrowed it down to several options, including the Genesis G80 or G90. Contacted by email dealerships handling those brands, one of which was McDonald Hyundai. "Scotter" Hudgins responded promptly & sent info on the vehicles they had in stock. Offered to answer any questions I might have & set me up an appointment w a salesperson at my convenience. I met w David Lax & test drove one of the Genesis. Since buying a car is time consuming & there were other things going on, I then decided to postpone my search. I let David know I was taking a break & he gave me some space. Did check back after a period of time to see if I was ready to resume my search. He was very easy to work with - no high pressure sales pitch & pleasant to deal with. Appreciated the fact that he listened to what I wanted in a car & didn't try to steer me in another direction. My questions were fully answered & he was very helpful on the test drives, explaining options & making sure I had time to get to know the vehicle. David Young, Sales Manager, stayed involved throughout the process. He was available to answer questions which were under the scope of his position & did so in a knowledgeable way. My intention was to purchase a vehicle, but he alerted me to an attractive leasing incentive Hyundai was offering. My husband & I have never considered leasing as an option & knew nothing about it. David (Young) walked us through the numbers for leasing using the incentive vs outright purchasing. This was explained in a clear manner & he was quite patient when asked for more explanation or clarification. He suggested I take the car home over the weekend & try it out, which I did. I'm sure this is a good way to clinch a sale, but the feeling I had was that he just wanted me to be sure I was making the right decision. I had the feeling everyone I dealt with wanted to be sure I was getting what I wanted & would be satisfied with the choice. Scott Rutman, in Finance, helped at the end. He was quite pleasant & efficient. Had all the paperwork ready, so there was no delay in taking care of that. Was happy to answer any questions about the leasing agreement both when I was making the decision between leasing & purchasing & when the deal was done. I've never considered buying a car to be a particularly enjoyable activity, but I was quite pleased w the whole experience at McDonald's. There is a friendly, but professional atmosphere. I am very happy w my G90 & have found it to be everything I was told it would be & more. I will certainly recommend this dealership & the people I worked with to anyone in the market for a Genesis or one of the other Hyundai models. More
