My overall experience with Mc George has always exceed my expectations. The easiness to schedule an appointment online or modify it if you have to. Ever since you get to the front desk, the service advisers greet you with a big smile and verify with you everything that has to be done to your car, even cleaning your car when you didn't ask for it, that gives a plus in customer service. My service adviser is Sean and my mechanic is Chris, but all of them are knowledgeable and very friendly. I usually wait for my car, the lounge area is quiet, there are computers and coffee or snacks. It's always been nice and time goes fast while I am waiting. Keep up with the good work guys! More
We took our Toyota Camry to McGeorge Toyota for its 5,000 miles check-up. Our service representative was Sean Jones. Sean was professional and friendly, going out of his way to assure our satisfaction. Ou miles check-up. Our service representative was Sean Jones. Sean was professional and friendly, going out of his way to assure our satisfaction. Our vehicle was purchased out of state, so we needed a local service center for future service needs. Our experience with McGeorge was great and we will continue to do business with them. More
I brought my RAV4 in Tuesday evening for a service appointment the next day. As I walk into the service area, the first think I see is a bright face with a big smile. It was a young man at a service appointment the next day. As I walk into the service area, the first think I see is a bright face with a big smile. It was a young man at a service manager's desk. His name is Travis Melton. He asked how he could help me and waved me over to him. I had my service sheet from last year and showed it to him. He told me what I needed done on my car, and in fact he saved me some money. How fantastic was that. As he was writing we chatted a little about some sports history. Travis made me feel comfortable. He said he would phone me the next day, when my car was ready. He phoned me the following morning and said I can pick up my car. When I arrived at the cashier's desk Wednesday, the women were not as receptive. No real smiles - the younger female walked out from the back and to where I was standing. Her body language was, "I have a job to do, so let's get it done quickly. No time for a little communication." You are not going to change a person's personality over nite. But a person's attitude can change over nite, with some help. Do not ever stop TRAINING! More

My experience with Toyota was wonderful! I was in for a regular maintence check up and I had time to talk with the financial person to see what options I had for a trade in - I was in a lease vehicle but t regular maintence check up and I had time to talk with the financial person to see what options I had for a trade in - I was in a lease vehicle but the monthly cost was alittle high for me at this time. Tom was able to assist me with all my questions and concerns and I decided to trade in for a 2013 corolla in which brought my payment down and I would really save in the long run. I was thinking ahead I have a teenage daughter in which will get her license next year and this decision will definitely be the right one this vehicle will be great for her!! Duane was the person to finish up with me and assisting me with more of the same questions and really help me transfer all my belongings from the 2011 camry to the 2013 corolla. I really love the people you have at this dealership I truly believe that anyone who needs a new vehicle should at least come by to see what you have to offer. I thank you alot and I will be a lifelong customer!! More
First visit to McGeorge was for an oil change & was kept waiting for 4 hours because no one bothered to tell me that my car was done (& yes, I was AT the dealership.) So they apologized, didn't charge kept waiting for 4 hours because no one bothered to tell me that my car was done (& yes, I was AT the dealership.) So they apologized, didn't charge me & sent a voucher for free oil change & car wash. OK, that's fine but I still can't get that time back. Visit #2 was okay, I was out in a timely fashion. During that visit a part was ordered & I was told it would be in in 4 days. Made an appointment for day 5 to have it installed. After waiting for an hour they told me the part wasn't there. When I asked them to find out the status, I was told they couldn't because the person who ordered it wasn't there. So with all of those employees, no one can bother to pick up the phone or check online to find out where it is. Then the story changed to the system is updated on Monday. So which is it--the employee was out or the system hasn't been updated? If locating a part is something that can only be done the person who's out, then why is the dealership open? How hard is it to pick up a phone or look online--is it rocket science? Is this a covert CIA operation where only 1 person can have access to the code? It's been well over a week & I've still have had no communication about the whereabouts of the part. If substandard customer service & wasting your time works for you, then by all means take your car here. More
Had my car towed there on a thur. afternoon. Spoke to somebody fri AM, i explained that my car kept stalling every time i drove it. The person asked by when did i need my car back i explained by 5PM he s somebody fri AM, i explained that my car kept stalling every time i drove it. The person asked by when did i need my car back i explained by 5PM he said it would be no problem. Didn't hear from them all day, i called 3 times and finally spoke to somebody who told me they would call me after my car was CONNECTED TO THE COMPUTER FOR DIAGNOSIS. I received a call FRIDAY AFTER 5PM to tell me that the computer showed no problems with my car. When I asked if somebody had driven the car i was told that the car had not been driven but that they could do that on Monday. Keep in mind that I'm paying 60 dollars a day for a rental car. On monday at 1PM I got a voicemail saying that a shuttle driver had driven my car and that YES IT DID KEEP STALLING(no great revelation). I was also told that i would be called when they found the problem. By 3:30 that afternoon after extending my rental car for one more day I had had it. I called and spoke to a customer relations manager(Don DelesDernier) who said he would be look into the matter and that he would be willing to reimburse me for a couple days of car rental. By 5:30pm on Monday my car was finally fixed and ready to be picked up. When I went to McGeorge Toyota to pay and pick up my car there was no mention of reimbursing me for the rental car as had been mentioned by the customer relations manager. A car dealership that doesn't live up it's promises??? NO GREAT REVELATION THERE EITHER! At that point i didn't even care i just wanted my car back and not deal with this business ever again. More

Toyota...great car. Dealership...great people. Service Department...HORRIBLE. Will never do business there again. If you buy one of these great cars, I would avoid McGeorge or you will have to deal with t Department...HORRIBLE. Will never do business there again. If you buy one of these great cars, I would avoid McGeorge or you will have to deal with the worst service department in the Richmond area. Not only was the service not done right the first few times...then they would not return calls. This has happened several times over a few years, and I guess that's my fault for ever trusting they would change. Buy a Toyota, just not from McGeorge or you'll be sorry! More
Every time I have been to McGeorge, I'm recognized by name: by Brian McPhail who sold me my car almost 5 years ago, by Chris who is my service advisor, and by Billy McKinney who is the ONLY technician wh name: by Brian McPhail who sold me my car almost 5 years ago, by Chris who is my service advisor, and by Billy McKinney who is the ONLY technician who has ever touched my car. In fact, I was at an appliance repair place in the city recently and a former McGeorge salesman recognized me and asked how my car was doing. My Prius is a wonderful car and has had few problems since we bought it. (Most unusual problem I've had: the batteries in the key fobs went dead after four years! I was impressed that they'd last that long.) The McGeorge dealership has worked hard to keep my business and to act in a friendly, professional and effective manner. I would (and do) recommend McGeorge to anyone who asks, and I love my Prius! More
