lost sale Went to see if I could make a deal for a 2015 Tucson. My trade in was going to be a 2015 Kia Sportage. When it came to giving me a dollar amount for Went to see if I could make a deal for a 2015 Tucson. My trade in was going to be a 2015 Kia Sportage. When it came to giving me a dollar amount for my trade I was given a quote of $15,000. This was a 2 week old car with 450 miles on it. Felt the amount was real low and was told the minute the Kia drove off the lot is when most of the depreciation happens. I am aware of that but the amount seemed real low and the amount might go up $1000 but no more. I couldn't do it. I ended up buying a 2015 Toyota Rav 4. I traded the Kia for $20,000. I went back to talk to the Manager who I had talked to previously and he said there was a limit as to how much he could give for trade ins. That was not the story when I first went in. I guess my point is that I would have taken say $17,000 for the Kia but there seemed to be a sense of greed and Rt 2 Hyundai lost out on a sale. Not sure if his bosses or the owner would sanction this but as the old saying goes "buyer beware". Would have been happy with a new Tucson but am equally happy with my Rav 4. More
