McGovern Hyundai Rt 2

This is the fourth new car we have purchased from Route 2 Hyundai. Although I was anxious that our usual sales rep was no longer with the dealer, Jason made us feel right at home. My wife and I were allowed to test drive our vehicle alone since we are known good customers and like to put it through its paces without someone looking over our shoulders. The negotiation went smoothly and we are quite pleased with the new Tuscon we left with. We got good value for our Santa Fe and were able to leave with lower payments than we started with, and better gas mileage to boot. We have been coming to this dealer for 10 years now and have never been disappointed with the service we have recieved there.Jesse always took good care of our cars. I can't wait to get the shirt Gino promised and look forward to the drawing for the 12K next week. I'll probably be back in two years for another new car right here. Thanks for the good experience. We came to the dealership thinking we were going to purchase an Elantra. I had never seen a Veloster before but the second I saw it I knew it was my car! Emerald Ralston greeted us as we got out of our car and asked what we would like to see. We told her and within 20 minutes we were test driving a Veracruz. This model was exactly what we were looking for including color, style and leather seats. This was also the ONLY Veracruz on the lot. Emerald had our old car reviewed and within 20 minutes was making us an offer on the new car. We told her that we were only looking today and we would get back to her in a few days. As we were backing out of the parking lot, Emerald came out of the store and knocked on our window. Emerald made us a offer that we could not refuse. This is, by far, the best experience I've had purchasing a vehicle. And, I've bought many cars in my lifetime. This dealership reinforced every negative perception of car dealers I've ever heard. I went to them because of their location near my work. I wanted to buy local. Talked to the car salesman, who seemed n car dealers I've ever heard. I went to them because of their location near my work. I wanted to buy local. Talked to the car salesman, who seemed nice. I wasn't ready to buy then (April) but told him I'd be back when I was ready. Last week I was, and went back to him specifically. Never talked to another salesman or dealer. Made an offer, they made a counteroffer. Told me I had until the end of the day to think it over. I asked about a new model I hadn't driven earlier, and he called me with price information at 3PM. Restated the pricing on the other car. At 6PM I called and said I was coming in to write the deal. That's when everything started to change. The original price was no good any more. Additional fees got added on. They flatly refused to honor the price they had quoted me. The reason? 'The whims of the manager'. Really. That's what I was told. I walked out. These guys are obviously bottom feeders that could care less about selling a car if they can't screw the customer. UPDATE: I've now noticed that the dealer has posted several comments, including questioning my integrity and inferring that I must be from another dealer. This is NOT true, I was, and am, a legitimate customer. They also indicate that I left the dealership and came back a week later to try and buy the car. Also untrue. This all happened over the course of 3 hours on the same day, as I detail in my rating. Finally, the manager indicates I never contacted him. Also untrue. I tried on several occasions to contact him, but he was never 'available', I was not allowed to hold for him, and he could not be paged. More

When I wanted to purchase a new vehicle I went to Johnny Chiaravalle because he was so helpful to my husband the previous year. Johnny was great. I asked him some new questions he hadn't heard before and he got me the answers very promptly - within minutes! I told him my priorities and Johnny helped me to pick the vehicle that was just right for me. He was very patient, and he has a great sense of humor! He walked me through all the purchase options including leasing and aiding me in making the decision that was right for me. Just a lovely man. We will go to Johnny again for our next purchase.
