Something is off if you ask me. That's coming from someone who's sold cars for a few dealerships in my life, so yes, I can definitely spot toxic dealership behavior as I've seen the good and the horrible. I also saw someone in a review say they've bought 10 cars in their life and this was the "best" experience they've ever had! Wow. 10 whole cars. No offense meant, however whoop-dee-do. I do apologize, 10 cars doesn't make someone an expert in buying cars by any means whatsoever. I've literally, not exaggerating, bought and sold just under 80 cars in the past 28 years. About 45 of those were from dealerships. I love cars, I'm totally into the entire experience related to automobiles. I'm into them so much that I get bored of what I'm driving very quickly and look for the next cool vehicle to own. I've even been a highly successful car salesman for four dealerships, hated every one of them even when I was making slightly over $10k a month. It's a disgusting business to be honest. I know their scams, I know their tricks, I've seen their shady practices. I could tell you where you should buy cars from, but you're not here for that. This isn't the worst experience I've ever had with buying cars, you can look through my review history if you want to see that one. I'm not afraid to praise business when they do an outstanding job, however I certainly won't hold back when they're garbage either. Who am I though to be saying anything, I've only got about 19,000 views on my reviews on another site so I understand I'm not a heavyweight in the world of telling it like it is. Okay, here goes... So I'm looking at their website about five days ago. Poor selection for the most part, very little used inventory, 83 vehicles to be exact. Honestly I normally don't waste my time on any dealership unless they have at minimum 150 vehicles in their used inventory. I prefer those that have stock levels around 300+. Why? Simple, that tells you that they move a lot of vehicles in order to keep that high number of automobiles on their lot. In other words, they're making enough money to not only stay afloat, but also enough to keep a strong selection constantly incoming; plus, that's an excellent sign that their financing choices are varied and eager to obtain the dealer's business. I find this one vehicle, a 2014 Audi Q5. I'm thinking okay cool, I've never owned an Audi before. It's got 80k miles. Nice. Price is good sitting about $14k. It's a higher trim level, cool, I don't buy base models of anything anymore. Carfax is good, no accidents, not a salvage title, decent number of service records too. This is looking promising. Problem is, it's got no pictures. In the car world that means one of two things: either it's new to the lot and they haven't had time for the photographer to make their rounds by the dealership yet; or, there's something wrong with it, almost always something visual like body damage, paint issues, or the interior is gross. No way of knowing though, you gotta either ask them directly or swing by to see for yourself. This dealership had good reviews though, right? It's probably okay, I'll just ask them and they'll be upfront about it. So I send in a request last week with some financing questions. I get a canned response via text the next day from Parker who happens to have the same last name as the sales manager (I always look through their website to get a feel for their sales staff.) I send him a response that day, no word back. Okay, whatever. I send another text the next day. He responds a bit over four hours later saying some nonsense about how busy he was, blah, blah, blah. Like really? What kind of sales professional can't respond to a text and at least say he got my message but he's too busy to talk? Let me tell you, in the car business, everyone ALWAYS has a phone. You live and die on that thing and you always find a way to respond in a quick manner, even when you have a customer sitting right in front of you. I text him back saying it's late and I'd rather chat the next day. He says that works, he doesn't have any appointments the next day and would text me as soon as he gets in. Of course, he never texts me the next day. In the afternoon, when it's obvious he either forgot or is ghosting me for some unknown reason, I hop into their online chat portal, get a live person and ask them to have anyone in sales EXCEPT Parker contact me. They say absolutely, will do. They ask which vehicle in interested in, I tell them. Of course, no one ever contacted me. So late that evening after work I decide I'll just swing by and figure out what the story is. I pull up, find a parking spot not quite in the front, it's pretty much a ghost town really. There's literally one customer that I could see anywhere and this was a holiday that lots a people always buy cars on. I'm sitting in my car with the engine running, air conditioning on, windows up, very, VERY obviously using my phone. I'm a mid level salaried manager in Portland, so even when I'm off, I'm working! After maybe three minutes, I notice a salesman watching me closely from near their front door, what they call the point. Not a problem, I get it as I've been there, they have to wait on point for you to get out of your car so they can pounce on you to get you to buy something and claim their stake on the "up." It is what it is. So after another minute or two he starts walking up to my car. He's literally standing maybe 18" in front of my bumper. He starts peering into my front windshield moving his head side to side like he's trying to get a better look. I'm still working from my phone with my head mostly down trying to ignore this clown. What do you think he does next? He walks up to the driver's side door, maybe a foot in front of my mirror. He's staring at me. I'm not playing his game, like I said, I was working. I totally ignore him. This goes on for maybe 30 seconds. Finally he says, really loudly trying to get my attention over the running engine and my closed window, "Can I help you with something?!" I look up slowly with an obvious look of annoyance and shake my head in the negative. I look back down as I was trying to get a few important matters related to work completed. He's still there, staring at me and says loudly, "What?!" Okay, so now I'm really starting to get irritated with this dude. I look at him and most clearly say loudly enough for him to hear even with the window up, "Not yet!" Iook back down as I was still trying to get something important done. He repeats himself even louder this the time, "What?!" I look at him and say again, "Not right now, just a minute!" while holding up just my pointer finger giving the internationally recognizes hand gesture of Just One Moment. He repeated himself AGAIN!! This time I rolled my window down about 6" and I tell him very clearly, "Not yet! Just a minute!" with obvious annoyance in my voice. He looks irritated, pivots away quickly marches away. About five minutes later, I'm finally finished with work. I decide to take a look through their website to figure out who this genius was. His name was Adam. I get out of my car, put my phone away, and spend maybe 10 minutes by myself looking around the lot for the Audi. I spot it very far away on their side lot. I started over there. Then miraculous Adam shows up at the top of their landing, behind me and semi-raises his voice asking what I needed help looking at. I ask if that their side lot, he tells me it is. He asks what I'm looking for. I point at the Audi and tell him I'm here to see that. He gets the single most annoyed look I've ever had the pleasure of seeing by a salesman. He tells me it's going to be sold wholesale tomorrow. I said, "Okay, what's the story on it? What's wrong with it?" He said rather rudely, "I have no idea. You have to ask service and they're closed until tomorrow." In my head that sounded like a lie, the sales staff always know the story on every vehicle listed on their website for sale. I asked if I could look at it, he says yeah but it can't be driven, he could get the key for me though. Okay, I'm thinking he doesn't know what's wrong with it but he knows it's going to be wholesaled the next day AND he knows it can't be driven?? That was super sketchy. I tell him no, I'll just go look at it. He totally does an about face and walks off and walks inside the showroom. Whatever. I walk like maybe 80 yards to this Audi to take a good look. It was actually really nice except it was missing the outer fuel door, which appeared to be a somewhat easy fix. I look through all the windows, it was really nice and clean on the inside, nothing obvious. That tells me it's got some mechanical issues, otherwise there would be no reason for them not to sell it. I slowly walk to my car while getting a few quick things done on my phone. I stood there near my driver's door for maybe 5 minutes while I was finishing some work. I get in my car, look up, and that genius is literally standing on the point just waiting on a customer to show up like he was expecting a rush at any moment. I was there on the lot, he didn't follow up on me, he didn't try to see what my needs were, and he certainly didn't try to see if there might have anything else that might work for me. I drove away without ever looking back. In fact, I went to another dealership down the street to see what they might have. Do yourself a favor, stay away from this joint. More

In June 2021, We paid $1,200. 00 for a new Air Conditioner Compressor plus labor, August 6 2022 Air Conditioning not working again. . Got charged another $700.00 for same problem but they claim different parts, I’m not a mechanic sooo, ok. Now 3 weeks later, August 30, 2022, Air Conditioner not working again. , now they claim a “different part” , estimated $1,300.00 Nope, not going to fix. My wife’s car is a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue with 45,700 ORIGINAL Miles. Body in excellent condition. Talked with Service Advisor, Ricky Vasquez and he is very nice. No issues with Ricky. Talked to Service Manager, Travis Gaul and asked him for a partial refund from Earlier August and he said “ There is nothing I can do”. Really, Are you sure? So in the time of 1 year and paying $1,900 to have the Air fixed and still not fixed, then they wanted another $1,300. I don’t think so. 3 full days at the service dept and ………………… I guess our future business, either new vehicles or service on our other car will be a toss up. I asked the General Managers name and email and nobody would give it to me. Too bad. Oh well. More
