Changed my mind about car buying! My husband and I visited Mel Hamilton Ford on a Monday evening to check out used trucks. We really had no intention of buying that day, and in fact, h My husband and I visited Mel Hamilton Ford on a Monday evening to check out used trucks. We really had no intention of buying that day, and in fact, had not made our previous six vehicle purchases from a “regular” dealer due to previous negative experiences (they were all CarMax purchases). We were met on the lot by Jason Holland who listened closely to what we were looking for a why. He didn’t try to steer us towards something different at all. We found a used truck, sat down in his office to talk and there was no pressure. He was the easiest car salesman I have ever dealt with. We ultimately decided to purchase a brand-new Explorer, and even after changing our minds, taking a test drive, and having quite a bit of discussion regarding what we were going to do, we left the dealership about 3 1/2 hours after walking onto the lot. Never in my life had I purchased from a “regular” lot without spending countless hours there. Everyone was kind, and friendly. Definitely changed my perspective regarding car buying! More
