The vehicle is great; the dealership experience was not. Management later claimed it was discussed with Darian before I entered finance, which is completely false - it never was. I explicitly declined higher value products I actually cared about, such as GAP and an extended warranty, yet I still ended up with a high margin, low value add on that does not meet any of my needs. At the end of a long day of signing, when we got to the Zurich paperwork, I asked Omar, “Oh, it includes paint protection?” He confirmed it did and swiftly moved on after getting me to sign, never once mentioning the $1,495 cost or that it was entirely optional per the Zurich contract. Every other document was explained at great length, but for some "unknown" reason, this specific one was not. Had this add on and its cost been clearly explained as an optional, separate $1,495 product, it would have been declined. If it was required in order to purchase the vehicle, it would have been an absolute deal breaker. Beyond the lack of transparency, the product itself is unnecessary for my use case; it addresses minor cosmetic issues like bird droppings (my car is garaged) but does not cover real world highway damage such as rock chips. The delivery experience was also poorly executed. I was given the wrong second key and did not receive the Certified Pre-Owned inspection/warranty paperwork at handover, both of which required multiple follow ups after the sale, including several calls to MBUSA just to get the documentation and correct key. The core issue here is not a single misunderstanding, but a broader pattern of communication and execution gaps. Throughout the transaction, I was given repeated assurances that everything had been handled correctly and transparently, but the actual delivered outcome did not reflect that at all. If you buy here, do not rely on verbal walkthroughs or assume all costs are being clearly highlighted. Read and question every line item carefully before signing. Better yet, find another Mercedes-Benz dealership - there are stronger and far more transparent options available in San Diego County, as I have since learned. More
I had a frustrating experience dealing with Mercedes Benz of Escondido by the phone. Before even visiting, I made it a point to ask for the out-the-door (OTD) price to avoid any surprises. Unfortunately, the of Escondido by the phone. Before even visiting, I made it a point to ask for the out-the-door (OTD) price to avoid any surprises. Unfortunately, the numbers I was given upfront did not match what was later presented, with additional charges added that were never clearly disclosed. These were not standard taxes or DMV fees, but extra hidden costs that significantly increased the total for around $3K. This lack of transparency feels misleading and makes it hard to trust their advertised pricing. I would strongly recommend anyone considering this dealership to ask for the full out-the-door price in detail before visiting-and get everything clearly broken down in writing. More

I strongly advise against doing business with Mercedes-Benz of Escondido. My experience spans several years and reflects a consistent pattern of misrepresentation, poor service quality, and compl Mercedes-Benz of Escondido. My experience spans several years and reflects a consistent pattern of misrepresentation, poor service quality, and complete lack of accountability. It began with the purchase of my vehicle in August 2022. The salesperson provided materially incorrect information about vehicle pricing, features, and equipment. I later learned that several statements made during the sale were simply untrue. Between 2022 and 2025, service quality was extremely poor. One warranty-covered issue was brought to this dealership three separate times and was never fixed. I ultimately took the vehicle to a different Mercedes-Benz dealership, where the issue was diagnosed and resolved immediately. At the time I purchased a prepaid maintenance plan, the finance department assured me that loaner vehicles were included. While this may be true on paper, in practice the dealership never had loaners available, making the promise effectively meaningless. The final issue—and the reason I am writing this review—was the dealership’s failure to process refunds. On November 20, 2025, I submitted fully signed cancellation paperwork for a prepaid maintenance plan and a Zurich Shield product. Despite four written follow-ups (Dec 1, 8, 16, and 19), the dealership provided no confirmation, no reference numbers, and no response. Phone calls went unanswered and voicemail boxes were full. I was forced to escalate the matter directly to Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, Zurich, and Mercedes-Benz USA corporate, who are now following up due to the dealership’s non-responsiveness. This experience ultimately led me to switch brands. I now own a BMW and the difference in transparency, service quality, and professionalism has been night and day. If you choose to do business with Mercedes-Benz of Escondido, document everything carefully and be prepared to escalate. My experience shows that once money has been collected, follow-through cannot be relied upon. More
Thank you for your support and excellent condition of my beautiful MB. Experienced some difficulties with contract interpretation, but efforts from management rectified my concern. DO NOT BUY USED FROM MERCEDES-BENZ OF ESCONDIDO — $15,700 OF CRITICAL MECHANICAL ISSUES FOUND 6 WEEKS AFTER PURCHASE I purchased a used BMW X5 from Mercedes-Benz of Escondido on May 11, 2025. Less than 48 OF CRITICAL MECHANICAL ISSUES FOUND 6 WEEKS AFTER PURCHASE I purchased a used BMW X5 from Mercedes-Benz of Escondido on May 11, 2025. Less than 48 hours after driving it off the lot, I received my first engine oil warning. Since that time, the vehicle has been consuming approximately 2 quarts of oil every 1,000 miles, which is unacceptable for a car that was supposedly inspected and certified as roadworthy. I brought it to BMW of San Diego for a diagnostic inspection on June 20, 2025. Their findings were deeply concerning: Transfer Case Malfunction & Worn Front Differential Driveshaft — $9,416.16 Upper Oil Pan Gasket Leak — $6,329.83 These repairs total $15,745.99 and were all flagged as requiring immediate action. These are not minor issues — they are critical drivetrain and oil system failures that should have been caught before the sale. These findings directly contradict the multi-point inspection completed by Mercedes-Benz of Escondido before they sold the car to me. It is simply not plausible that all of these issues developed in the six weeks since purchase — especially when the oil warning began the day after I drove the car home. As long as this review remains up, it means Mercedes-Benz of Escondido has not taken responsibility or addressed my concerns. I urge any potential buyers to be cautious. This dealership sold me a vehicle with nearly $16,000 in immediate mechanical issues, and I am asking for some accountability. The dealership is absolutely gorgeous and the staff were very friendly and hospitable, however this experience has shown a clear failure in transparency, quality control, and customer protection. They never did, left 3 messages on Service managers voicemail and they never called back. Seems the poor attitude towards taking care of customers starts at the top. If they cared they would at very least call back but they never did. It’s a shame was hoping to establish a relationship with a dealer but now I’ll have to drive to Carlsbad or Kearny Mesa. More
In December, I traded in my 2016 Range Rover at Mercedes-Benz of Escondido for a 2025 AMG GLC 43. The sales manager, Moby, offered $15,000 for my trade-in, which they later resold for $21,999. I wa Mercedes-Benz of Escondido for a 2025 AMG GLC 43. The sales manager, Moby, offered $15,000 for my trade-in, which they later resold for $21,999. I was also told I had to buy $3,000 in warranties—only to later learn from other dealerships that these were optional. I contacted GM Nathan Salib several times with no response. The lack of honesty and poor customer service has left me disappointed and frustrated. This experience was unacceptable, and I don’t want others to go through the same. More
