Title: Misleading Sales Experience and Prolonged Title Delays – Buyer Beware!!! I purchased a 2024 Toyota Camry XSE V6 from Mercedes-Benz of Fayetteville on August 2, 2025. The transaction was presented Delays – Buyer Beware!!! I purchased a 2024 Toyota Camry XSE V6 from Mercedes-Benz of Fayetteville on August 2, 2025. The transaction was presented as clean and straightforward: I would handle registration and titling independently in New York State, and the dealership would provide the necessary paperwork—including the title—promptly. That assurance turned out to be misleading. 📆 Timeline of Events: - August 2: Vehicle purchased with full agreement that I would self-register in New York. - August 4: Full payment completed. I requested the title be sent directly to me. - August 5–7: Sales staff confirmed the title would be overnighted by August 8. - August 8: No title received. I followed up and was told there was a delay. - August 9–10: New delivery date promised: August 11. - August 11: Again, no title. No explanation provided. No proactive outreach from management. - August 12 onward: Continued delays, vague updates, and no resolution. Vehicle remains unregistrable and legally undrivable beyond the temporary tag period. Throughout this process, I’ve made multiple written and verbal requests for clarity and resolution. Instead of transparency, I’ve received shifting timelines, verbal reassurances, and silence from dealership leadership. The sales team has been polite but ultimately powerless to resolve the issue, and management has been conspicuously absent. 🚫 What Went Wrong: - Failure to deliver title as promised, despite full payment and multiple confirmations. - Misrepresentation of the sales process, especially regarding title logistics. - Lack of accountability, with no escalation or resolution from dealership leadership. - Disruption to legal registration, leaving me with a vehicle I cannot drive or insure properly. This experience reflects a serious breach of trust and professionalism. A luxury dealership should not operate with this level of disorganization or disregard for legal obligations. Buyers deserve clarity, honesty, and timely documentation—none of which were provided here. I strongly advise anyone considering a purchase from Mercedes-Benz of Fayetteville to verify title procedures in writing and be prepared for delays. What’s promised during the sale may not be honored afterward. More
