Routine service led to erroneously told I need brakes/tires? I hate to write a negative review but when I’m told I need rear brakes and 2 front tires during a routine service check and you know you don’t, you ha I hate to write a negative review but when I’m told I need rear brakes and 2 front tires during a routine service check and you know you don’t, you have to call BS.... and I did. i even went elsewhere to verify with a very reputable mechanic who will get my future business (as they already have in past). Tires? Still have 1/2 treads and rear brakes? Not for awhile....and yes, new mechanic took time to show me this directly and shook their head when I told them what I supposedly needed from Mercedes. Never went to Flemington as I bought my car elsewhere and always serviced at another dealer but figured I’d give them a try since they’re closer. So while I appreciate a call from them as my survey was less than stellar....I don’t appreciate being treated as if I’m an idiot and told to bring my car back in for them to “show me” with their technician. Not even a question on their end that “maybe, just maybe” their technician/them could be wrong? Gasp....Nah, they’re going to show me I’m wrong and the mechanic who looked at it too. Be wary walking in here for service...I walked in and will never return. They should be ashamed of themselves. Hopefully they actually look into this situation more internally, otherwise appears it’s condoned behavior....sad if that’s their practice. More
