Mercedes-Benz of Huntington strives to provide high quality customer service. There are many things we do well but there are also some things that we can’t or don’t do. While we have an excellent service department we do not perform any bodywork whatsoever. We are not repairing this customer's vehicle and the vehicle is not on our premises and hasn’t been since 2012 when we replaced an inoperative headlight for her. This individual was involved in a car accident and was having her car towed to a body shop that is neither owned by nor associated with our company to perform work that would be covered by her insurance. The customer insisted that our dealership provide her with a loaner vehicle for an indefinite length of time while her car was repaired. Our service manager informed her that it was highly likely that her insurance company would provide a rental car and cover the cost the rental which they would make available to her at whatever body shop she chose to use. All departments here that she contacted apologized for her inconvenience but explained that we do not issue loaner vehicles in this scenario and that her insurance company would likely provide for her.

Thank you for taking a moment to share your experience. We are always interested in receiving feedback from our customers. This helps us identify the things we do well and those things that need improvement. It seems you had a negative experience and we regret that your transaction doesn’t appear to be up to our very high standard of customer satisfaction. In researching your complaints we’ve found some areas in which we can improve. We will strive to inform our customers more directly that when they change finance companies at the very last minute it could seriously impact when a vehicle can be billed and prepared for delivery thus avoiding a rush and missed opportunities to ensure a vehicle is prepared to our standards for delivery. This change in finance options may have also caused the urgent calls from our finance manager in his zealous effort to meet the delivery deadline. Also, although your salesman came to work on his day off at your request to effect delivery of your Mercedes-Benz, the vehicle should have been checked more closely to ensure that all four valve-stem caps were on the wheels. As a new employee to our dealership, the salesman did his best to follow our delivery protocol though there were several missteps including not being aware of where our substitute owner’s manuals were located or adequately explaining some technical aspects of the vehicle. Regrettably our General Manager was out of the office for several days after his initial email response and sincere apology to you. Your email may have been masked by the volume of email he needed to process upon his return. All-in-all, your experience has given us an opportunity to examine some of our processes to ensure we continue to provide a CustomerOne experience at Mercedes-Benz of Huntington.

I never changed finance companies - I said from the onset that I had my own financing so once again your dealership is incapable of telling the truth. Whether it was the salesman day off or not is irrelevant - he could have had someone else assist us. It still is no excuse for the countless lies I have been told over the past month, the lack of any knowledge transfer, and the simply unprofessional nature of everyone at your dealership up to and including the General Manager.....which is another LIE - my email wasn't masked - he said he would reply when he returned to the office and NEVER did. That's customer service to you? Every single employee at this dealership I interacted with has lied to me multiple times and were caught in doing so. It is disgusting, unprofessional and disgraceful.
