Horrible Experience HORRIBLE CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE I am in the process of purchasing a car from Mercedes-Benz of Pleasanton. It has been the most horrible car buying HORRIBLE CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE I am in the process of purchasing a car from Mercedes-Benz of Pleasanton. It has been the most horrible car buying experience of my lifetime. Although I am the customer, and made this huge purchase, I am left feeling like my business doesn't matter and that I am a nuisance. We purchased our vehicle using our credit union, and the bank sent a cashier's check to the dealership for the full amount of the vehicle. You would think that's it, right? Bank certified check in hand = Keys in hand, in any other world. The dealership has explained to me that they usually wait until the CASHIER'S CHECK clears, before they deliver a vehicle. I know this to be untrue; my friend who referred me there paid by personal check, and immediately drove his car from the lot. I can only assume that race plays a part. I am a black man. Although I am paying by cashiers' check, my salesperson explained to me that because of my credit (on the report they ran illegally; we paid cash), they would need to hold the car. A paid for car, that I didn't use them to finance. Biggest bunch of crap I've ever heard. I am looking forward to getting my car, and running as far away from this place as I can. Do yourself a favor, patronize one of the many other MB dealers in the area, like I will for servicing my Benz. You may find that you are less of a nuisance and are treated more like a paying customer. I will speak to my attorney to find out what remedies are available. More
CPO BUYER BEWARE Let me preface this as buyer beware!! DONT BELIEVE them , car fax crap, take the vehicle and have in inspected by another mechanic.I purchased a CPO 1 Let me preface this as buyer beware!! DONT BELIEVE them , car fax crap, take the vehicle and have in inspected by another mechanic.I purchased a CPO 14 mercedes GL for 80k with 1000 miles. Salesmen was friendly, Vehicle was in and out of the shop 6 times in the first year of ownership, multiple problems with sensors going bad, seatbelts breaking, turbo problems, engine going into safety mode and not accelerating which throws ZERO codes and they have no idea how to fix nor fix because they couldnt replicate, I had to wait until the problem happened and drive it that way all the way to them so they can hook it up, this took 2 years before they could figure it out. I was lightly rear ended in a parking lot and had to replace the bumper, I took it to a Mercedes certified shop and was told by them that the upon inspection and replacing the bumper that this vehicle has been in a previous accident. BIg help the carfax with zero problems showed. SHADY dealer, not worthy of being a mercedes dealer., service department like most have said is true, slimy and shady service people who offer fake smiles and no quality service, will not buy another vehicle here or have service here. Hope this review helps someone else out there. More
Great customer service. Honest hard working folks. A++++ I have been to many Bay Area dealerships and Pleasanton Mercedes is just awesome. I can’t believe they got less than 5 stars. Every time I been there I have been to many Bay Area dealerships and Pleasanton Mercedes is just awesome. I can’t believe they got less than 5 stars. Every time I been there they have gone out of there way to help me. The service advisors have all been courteous. Get to know the folks there and have a level of normal expectations and all will be golden. More

The service guy does not even look me into my eye. By far the worst service center. I have been to several Mercedes dealerships nationwide and this one sucks. The service man did not even fill air in the tyres when the car tyres had low pressure. More
Buyers Beware We previously had wonderful experiences at this dealership. What is tough is the services is not consistent throughout the entire team. Our sales rep We previously had wonderful experiences at this dealership. What is tough is the services is not consistent throughout the entire team. Our sales rep was great(Virgil). Then the brand new vehicle we purchased within two weeks had smoke piling into the vents from the engine. We brought it in and our Rep was barely involved and lacked follow up. Then a week later same problem. I called to odviously exchange the vehicle as anyone would. I was transferred to a sales manager who said"it's like me buying a house, you can't return it". His name is Raymond.... it's a shame how far away from customer service this dealership has come. But more importantly you should know that they focus on protecting there bottom line more than running an ethical business ... buyers beware. More
SERVICE IS TERRIBLE AND THE SERVICE MANAGER IS BAD MB of Pleasanton has very bad and I meant very bad Service. Let me tell you what happen to me. I bought two Cars from them since last year. Bought ext MB of Pleasanton has very bad and I meant very bad Service. Let me tell you what happen to me. I bought two Cars from them since last year. Bought extra prepaid maintenance. Brought my completely new car in for some installation on parts. Was told it be done in a day. Got a shuttle service back to work. End of day they call and said you need to leave overnight. What the heck! and no one come pick me up from Shuttle so I can get a rental car. I had to take UBER back to their place for a rental car. Now you tell me what kind of service is this? Pick up the car two days later. The service manager name JULIA was a grumpy, very unpleasant, prejudice against other race, unfriendly manner, never apologized or at least accommodate the customer to waive the fee of the installation etc. The service advisor overcharged my invoice and didn't realize it until I pointed out to him. They don't deserve to work at a prestige company like Mercedez Benz and what kind of bad attitude customer service are they serving??. I will spread the words to others MB owners that what a disappointment I have in MB of Pleasanton. More
Unethical Sales strategy I bought a preowned E350 coupe from this dealership a couple month ago and not to mention, it was my worst experience ever from the moment you walk in I bought a preowned E350 coupe from this dealership a couple month ago and not to mention, it was my worst experience ever from the moment you walk in, to until you close the deal. To start with, while we were reviewing their inventory, their Internet Sales associate David Castro seems least interested in entertaining us going through the cars and even mentions that I may not be able to buy it.. like Really ?? Who are you to define that ? To add further, somehow we managed to close the deal and agreed to return with the payment cheque (from my bank, as I had a pre-approved loan and did not wish to go with MB Finance), David talked us into putting up a petty downpayment to block the car. We returned two days later to take the delivery and was informed that as part of Memorial Day deals, Mercedes is offering a 2- year free prepaid maintenance program on CPO E-class vehicles. And although we should have been entitled for the offer, David devoid us the offer because he had reported our Sale on 30th of last month (just to raise his Sales Bonus for previous month). What a crap !! We reached out to his Manager informing him of the situation and he promised us to get the offer added to our purchase from the backend and requested to us go forward with the purchase. To our surprise, this wasn't accomplished either. By far, the worst experience even while spending nearly $48k on a car. Have been suggesting my family and friends to not visit this dealership even if they try to lure you with 100 lucrative specials. More

They had a bunch of really nice inventory right out front to choose from and when I found the right one the rest was pretty easy. I did a lot of research before coming in so I knew what a good price was and I got it. I was very happy with everything. Would come back again. More
Deceitful Business Practices I purchased a used Mercedes Benz C230 from Mercedes Benz of Pleasanton. The car had one owner and I was shown all service records. Months after the I purchased a used Mercedes Benz C230 from Mercedes Benz of Pleasanton. The car had one owner and I was shown all service records. Months after the purchase the check engine light came on. I live 26 miles east of Pleasanton, so I took it to Autobahn Motors in Tracy. The mechanic told me the dealership did a required recall service, but they did it wrong and there was oil in the wire harness and control module. I took it to Mercedes Benz of Pleasanton. They said there is no oil in the harness or control module and that I had other problems. Suddenly, over 1.5 years later, consistent check engine light issues, over $7,000 spent and continuous NO there is no oil in harness and control module, NOW there is oil in the harness and control module. Mercedes Benz of Pleasanton told me the car has too many miles on it for them to fix the issue they caused, but they would check with corporate. After being told I would get a call back and having to take the initiative to call Mercedes Benz of Pleasanton myself, I was told corporate would not pay for the fix because the program expired, so it would cost me $5,000 to fix. Now the car is inoperable unless I pay $5,000 for Mercedes Benz of Pleasanton deceitful business practices. I was told on several occasions they would call me back and Mercedes Benz of Pleasanton never did. The mechanic from Autobahn was kind enough to phone Mercedes Benz of Pleasanton and was told corporate will not pay for it, so there is nothing Mercedes Benz of Pleasanton will do. As a consumer you have choices. If you prefer poor customer service, lies, being charged for work that may or may not have been needed and an unwillingness to fix problems caused by your dealership, Mercedes Benz of Pleasanton is your place. Guess what ,, mercedes does break down just like others So when your spending 80.000 to 100.000 for a car and part of the sales pitch is how great the service department is , Oh and by the way you gat a loa So when your spending 80.000 to 100.000 for a car and part of the sales pitch is how great the service department is , Oh and by the way you gat a loaner car while your car is being serviced . You better ask how many cars are serviced in average , and ask how many loaners are available . This is my 4th request for repair and I received a loaner 1 time . So Mercedes do break down ,plan on having a second car or a budget for a rental because they are not renting you a car. More
