I bought my 170” WB 2011 Sprinter Crew Van in 2017 with 92,550 miles on the odometer. It now has 144,749 miles following my trip back from MB of Rocklin where I had the Emission Modification completed on 92,550 miles on the odometer. It now has 144,749 miles following my trip back from MB of Rocklin where I had the Emission Modification completed on the van. When I called the service manager to schedule the EM, I explained that I had a DEF Light come on in 12/2019 and I had had the DEF Pump, DEF Heater and NOx sensors replaced ($3600.00). I also explained that in 52,000 miles, the van has only used 3.5 gallons of DEF. It concerned me that if I did the EM, the updated software might force my Sprinter might go into limp mode anytime the CE was on. I wanted assurance that the van would be returned with the CE off, the DEF usage problem fixed and the van running with a clean bill of health following the EM….seems to me that is the point of the EM. After the EM was completed, the service technician reported that the DEF Pump was faulty and the Service Manager told me that they had to order a DEF pump that would take another week. When I called about picking the van up a week later, the Service manager reported that the contacts on the DEF Pump were corroded and that the DEF wiring harness had some corrosion too and that this would not be covered under the new warranty. So, I drove away from Rocklin MB with the CE and DEF lights on following the Emission Modification. The Service Manager refused to fix a part he originally told me he was replacing and one that is specifically called out as covered under the extended warranty in the Emission Modification literature. Go Figure! I am very disappointed that I took the van to Mercedes Benz of Rocklin to have the Emission Modification completed. More

Ok so although I was told I would get the car in a week and I didn’t get it till a month later, I do have to give a huge thank you to Ronnie Phillips. He stayed in communication with me throughout the whole process. From the start he was so helpful and very straightforward and honest. Through the waiting period he gave me updates, and when the car finally got to the dealership and even though he was on vacation he still was in contact with me and helped me set up the pick up. I got the GLS 450 4matic and I am so happy with it! Of course I also have to recognize Casey from finance, he was also extremely helpful through all the paperwork.
