For those that hate car shopping I have had the pleasure of working with Tom Emerson of Mercedes-Benz of Rocklin on two separate occasions in the last three years. I don't particularl I have had the pleasure of working with Tom Emerson of Mercedes-Benz of Rocklin on two separate occasions in the last three years. I don't particularly enjoy shopping for cars because of the pressure I feel and the sales people. Let's just say I haven't had the best experiences in the past. Tom isn't "salesy" yes he is in the profession of selling cars, but he was more interested in my experience than just completing a transaction. I have had to deal with a different Mercedes dealership recently for repairs and it just wasn't the same. We moved four hours away from the dealership and yet will still continue to work with Tom even though we have a dealership two miles away. Three years ago we leased a car with ease. It was such a fun experience. Last week, we purchased a car with 5 star treatment. The customer service was beyond expectations. They delivered a loaner car four hours away, paperwork and took the lease to be certified so that we could purchase. We just love Tom. He guided us in the best option for our needs and set it into motion. We have invested into the Mercedes family and hoped it would be worth it. I have zero regrets about both purchases. That's good for someone that always second guesses big purchases. There is a reason you invest in an elevated experience. The showroom is really clean and great to hang out when getting services completed. The service is consistently excellent. I will be a loyal customer for future purchases. Just like when you find a good hair person, never leave, same with a car person. Thanks Tom for helping my family and for being ethical and helpful. No matter where I move, we will always call you! No very honest I have a 2011 Mercedes E3 50 and I was having problems with it starting all the sudden it actually started doing some really weird stuff while drivin I have a 2011 Mercedes E3 50 and I was having problems with it starting all the sudden it actually started doing some really weird stuff while driving and I called the Mercedes dealership nearest me which was the howe dealership they had no timeslots available. Rocklin dealership said that I could go in right away I have warranty that I purchased for quite a bit of money and I let the mechanic know that I didnt want to spend anything over what my warranty covers besides the battery because that I knew was not covered under my warranty if it’s the battery then depending on what the cost is I might just Get an OEM Bosch or something very simple and I asked him if it would void the warranty if I did it myself he said he's not sure and I said that if I got any other battery except for Mercedes battery in my car would start to not function properly and I'd be back there with more issues (non true) again because according to him no other battery has The power of a Mercedes batter (another lie) I was very upfront and let him know that financially I’m kind of strapped and would like to only do the absolute necessary repairs and spend as little as I can right now. After the conversation I got a text from him saying that the transmission is also responsible for the faulty electrical and he quoted me some something I can’t remember what tje amount was but then on the next text he said that no it’s the transmission mount either way I had told him that my warranty didn’t cover the amount that they are charging hourly so I was going do it somewhere else and he replied It’s actually not the transmission Or the transmission mount they’re both fine it’s just the battery that needs replacing He had originally quoted me 450 and because he told me that I had to get a Mercedes battery I told him to go ahead and do it I got a bill for $950 and now My car needs a routine I think it’s the A3 service and I can’t afford to do it I I have all of our correspondence in my cell phone cuz we discussed it through text so he really can't deny any of the things t he said. I clearly told him that I only want to do some repairs that have to be done and I would like to e to text so can’t really deny any of the things that you we're said it's just sad that such a luxury brand have mechanics doing Shady dubious things like this to try to make a little extra money my warranty wouldn't have gotten void if I put a OEM battery I could have went to a third-party mechanic which is exactly what I told the guy it's just a shame you wouldn't think that a company like Mercedes we need to use these kind of tactics to gain revenue More
