I was in for the nox update on my 2016 Sprinter Van / Motor Home . I was do for a smog check as well. I was told I had to smog it first before they could do the update. I okayed the smog test as my re Motor Home . I was do for a smog check as well. I was told I had to smog it first before they could do the update. I okayed the smog test as my registration was up on November 26 and I had pad my license fees but need a smog check. I told them they could keep my Sprinter Motor Home for 2 or 3 days if they needed to but I had a trip planned for the end of the next week. I was called and told the vehicle was ready to be picked up. When I arrived I was told they had forgot to smog it first but they would give me a free smog test but I would have to drive multiple miles before it would smog. I put 3 tank full of diesel and made 4 trips to the dealership before for it would smog. By that time it was to late to receive my license tags before I left on my trip so I went hopping I wouldn’t get stopped for expired license. It cost me over $300.00 in diesel for that free $80.00 smog check. More
