New Car Purchase We drove to Mercedes-Benz of Sacramento from Tracy because of positive things we had heard from co-workers and on the internet. We had a very positive We drove to Mercedes-Benz of Sacramento from Tracy because of positive things we had heard from co-workers and on the internet. We had a very positive experience with Steve Tracy. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. We were not planning on buying that day, but because of Steve's help we discovered it was possible and got exactly what we wanted. The car was delivered from another area dealer. The whole process was very positive. The only issue we had was that we were told the car had less than 70 miles on it, and when it arrived it had more than 800 miles. We had made it very clear that we wanted a vehicle with less than 100 miles on it. This was NOT Steve Tracy's fault. Steve did make it up to us with credit on accessories. Again, the overall experience was quite positive, and pleasant. More

Completely Shocked and Disappointed I have been a loyal customer at the Mercedes Benz dealership. I have been having my cars serviced at this location for about 15 years. I took my car I have been a loyal customer at the Mercedes Benz dealership. I have been having my cars serviced at this location for about 15 years. I took my car in for a routine A service. My car was having no issues at all. My car was sent home with a clean bill of health. A few days later I drove my car to the Bay area for work and to meet my boyfriend and found white smoke coming out of my car, a bad burning smell and oil leaking out of it. I found this strange since it had just been serviced and that none of my warning lights were going off on the car. Plus my car was not leaking oil prior to taking it in for service. I was having no issues at all. My boyfriend popped the hood and saw the smoke burning and checked the oil. The car oil registered full. I contacted the dealership and made an appointment to bring my car in. When I approached the service department I was met by a service representative who asked me to pop my hood because he could smell and see all of the smoke. He recognized me and said weren't you just in for service? I said yes, and I'm shocked that this was happening with my car since it was released with no issue. When I got home I noticed a large oil puddle in my garage. I immediately called my Service Agent Efrain and explained what I saw. He said he would let the technician know. I received a call the next day that it was my vacuum pump and a oil gasket, but no explanation of how this failed and was not caught in the A service that was just performed. I discussed the situation with my boyfriend and he had further questions for Efrain. I set up a call with the 3 of us and my boyfriend explained that the car had lost a significant amount of oil and none of the indicator sensors were going off. Where was all the extra oil coming from because my car's oil levels were still registering full. He also explained this situation was indicative of if the car had been over filled with oil during the recent A service. What else would cause a oil gasket to blow? The pressure from the oil being over filled. We agreed the car did not have enough wear and tear on it. Efrain said he had to get the Service Manager Ken involved and would call back. When they called back I put them in contact with my boyfriend James because I had a work meeting. After the call James contacted me and said there was no explanation of why the vacuum pump leak was not caught in any of the previous services with Mercedes and that they said it just happened. They said they would discount my price, but I would have to pay $1200. They were not willing to look at how the oil service may have effected this since I had no prior issues with oil leaks. This just didn't add up. The next week I was able to pick my car up. When I received my paperwork it showed there was a large engine oil leak. This surprised me because if it was large why wasn't it spotted a few days earlier when they did the oil change and inspection? I had just paid $272 for a A service with a full inspection of my car, but none of this was caught??? What did I pay for? I proceeded to pay the new fee got in my car and proceeded just a mile down the road to the mall. When I returned to my car and started to drive home only 20 minutes later from picking up my car, my whole center console was red stating the pressure on all of my tires were extremely low. Again, I thought that's funny because on my paperwork it clearly states they performed a tire inspection that included re-setting all my tire pressures. I drove back to the dealership again and showed them the warning. They took my car brought it back and said everything was fine but never explained why it happened or what was done to fix it. It made me question if any of these inspections are even being performed. First I had a A service with an inspection then suddenly had a large oil leak that was not caught and now I had tires that were inspected and pressure reset to only have them fail in less than a half hour! Something very negligent is going on here. The next day I called Chris Roth to issue a formal complaint about the bad service and failure of these inspections. I left a voicemail. I received a call back from Kerry Saunders instead. I explained what happened and he said that does seem strange, He said he would investigate and get back to me. He called back and really offered no resolution to the extremely bad experience. Just said they had a video showing the car smoking, but no mention why none of their inspections caught any of this. They accepted no fault to anything that happened. Needless to say I will not return back there ever again. I cannot trust that I am receiving the service I'm paying for when the issues came up right after their supposed inspections and service to the vehicle. This is really sad considering I have trusted them with my vehicles for the last 15 years. I have never had a complaint or anything. Now this happens and Mercedes is not even willing to take any fault with this, when it is clear they are not performing the services stated on my invoice, otherwise I would not have had to return twice for two different issues that were supposed to have been performed. I guess integrity and loyalty mean nothing to Mercedes-Benz of Sacramento. More
