I purchased a used CPO GLE 350 on August 27th. Upon taking possession, it was discovered that one of the seatbelts was white, all others factory black indicating a non factory seat belt somehow wa Upon taking possession, it was discovered that one of the seatbelts was white, all others factory black indicating a non factory seat belt somehow was installed despite no service record noting the installation nor were there any reported collisions requiring a replacement. This was concerning since it was certified as a CPO Vehicle The Sales Manager agreed to replace the seatbelt on September 7th. It took that long to get the commitment. As of this date I still have no seatbelt, nor the courtesy of returning my phone calls or answering my emails. I tried contacting the Owner, GM, Sales Manager, Salesman, Service department, multiple times over the last 3 weeks. No response. They are totally ignoring me. I took my vehicle to my local Mercedes franchise and shared the email committing to correcting the defective seatbelt. The email even indicated they would have the seatbelt installed at this local dealership since Seattle Mercedes is 100 miles from my home. The nice man in the service department here locally has contacted Seattle Mercedes multiple times and they too are not responding to him. Oh, just to make it even more interesting, I still have no license plates or registration and have contacted the Finance Manager, even she is not responding to emails or phone calls. My temporary plates expire in 8 days. I question the integrity of the CPO checklist. Having a non factory seatbelt leads one to wonder if they have hidden a collision and have put my safety at risk. I have an escalation case with Mercedes corporate as well as I've filed a consumer protection complaint with the Washington State Attorney General noting the fraudelent safety inspection and lack of integrity with the CPO . Do yourself a favor and buy from a different franchise. More
