False advertising to get you through the door. On the website, the Mercedes Benz of Seattle advertises an unbelievably good deal. I sent the inquiry to check if this deal is still available, and I was told yes, please come in. I was a few minutes away from the dealer, so in less than 10 minutes, I was at the dealership. Then I was told the car that the delivery advertised was already sold, and they would offer me another car but were going to honor the deal. The car dealer advertised was a NEW 2023 EQS 580 - $599 per month with a $599 down payment. The dealer showed me EQS 450, which was $1,500 to $2,000 monthly, with a $10,000 to $15,000 down payment. I understood this advertisement was to get people to the dealership, but they don’t have this car. But to confirm, I asked my wife to call and check if EQS 580 is still available, and to our surprise, it was available, and they ask how soon she could come….. To anyone who is seriously thinking about buying a Mercedes-Benz, I will suggest avoiding the dealership as they are dishonest. More
My friend, knowing that I have owned a Mercedes for some years and have been a car nut for life, asked for my help in buying a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) 2019 GLA 250 from Seattle Mercedes. Sure I said, so d years and have been a car nut for life, asked for my help in buying a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) 2019 GLA 250 from Seattle Mercedes. Sure I said, so down the road we went. The car was great, although it had a smell in it that was like a wet dog, despite the sales people showing us the CPO check list, including the checked off cleaned and smell free part. In addition, they had replaced the front two tires but not the rears, generally a bad thing on an all wheel drive car. I asked about this, the dealer people said the back tires were almost the same as the new fronts so it was OK. She made the deal, contingent upon them getting the smell out of the car. Couple of days later, we picked up the car and it still smelled bad. When we got home, I used a tire gauge and the tread depth between the front and rear was very different, indicating the need for all four tires to be replaced. Also, when we took a closer look, the entier inside of the car had not been cleaned, crud all over the seats and carpets. Clearly the dealership was not concerned. We asked for help, they never returned calls. I complained to Mercedes US, they sent us back to the dealership. Finally, we took the car to Lynnwood Mercedes who detailed it and pretty much got it to a good state. So bottom line, find another Mercedes dealer to work with. Seattle MB had no clue how to make a cash sale, they did not care about the condition of the CPO car when it was delivered, and the sales guy took all of 5 minutes to deliver a very complex modern car to a new Mercedes owner. I now see how a Mercedes dealer can have a two star review. Not to mention that Mercedes US was no help either. Avoid Seattle Mercedes. Try Lynnwood MB instead. Better place to buy, better place for service. More
