I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the recent experience at your service department, which has unfortunately marred my otherwise positive history with the Mercedes-Benz brand. As a the recent experience at your service department, which has unfortunately marred my otherwise positive history with the Mercedes-Benz brand. As a loyal customer with multiple Mercedes vehicles, including a brand new GT 63 that I recently purchased, I expected nothing less than exceptional service. However, my visit to Valencia Mercedes-Benz for an engine check light issue under warranty has been distressing. After scheduling an appointment with my service advisor, and dropping off the vehicle, I was notified four days later that my car was ready for pick-up. Upon arrival, I found the car to be dirty and covered in tree sap, indicating it had been left unattended outside. I brought this to your team's attention, and the car was taken back for a wash. When the vehicle was returned, I noticed scratches on the windshield and a chip in the hood that were not there before. Most upsetting is your department’s refusal to acknowledge responsibility for these damages. Despite my requests, I have not received any photos or videos of the vehicle at intake, nor have you provided the name of the service foreman responsible for the work. This lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable from a dealership that represents a prestigious brand like Mercedes-Benz. More
Let’s begin by saying this is not in any way sour grapes. I purchased the vehicle I wanted at the price I wanted, at the financing rate % I wanted, for the length of loan term I wanted, and the monthly paym I purchased the vehicle I wanted at the price I wanted, at the financing rate % I wanted, for the length of loan term I wanted, and the monthly payment I wanted. Additionally, I got the value I was seeking for my trade in vehicle. All wins. BTW - the Sales Representative I worked with was great. His name was Raffi. However, my experience at Mercedes Benz Valencia was ALARMING. The Finance Director is a nightmare. In completing the contract, he used the wrong vehicle information not only for the vehicle I was trading in, but also for the vehicle I was buying. They sent me home with incorrect paperwork adhered to my windshield and expired plates. The whole next day was spent fielding calls and Docusign emails to complete a new contract. Still, the VIN in the paperwork I have on the windshield does not match the VIN of the vehicle I bought, which still puts me in a precarious situation if I am pulled over. Also, it took several additional calls for me to get temporary paper license plates to put on the vehicle as I am waiting for the DMV to send the new registration. ALL OF THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN SQUARED AWAY BEFORE I DROVE OFF THE LOT. BUT HERE IS THE SCARIEST PART. The vehicle I purchased had been serviced by the Mercedes Benz Service team. They installed brakes. NEGLIGENTLY. The driver’s side rear caliper was not put on correctly. The whole unit detached from the assembly while I was driving. Luckily, I was traveling alone and only at about 20 miles per hour at the time and was able to take action to stop without killing myself, my family, or thankfully anyone else. Can you even imagine the tragedy that could have occurred? Bottom Line: Purchase your next vehicle somewhere else! This dealership is unorganized and DANGEROUS! More
