A challenge met and exceeded I went to Merchants not expecting much. With credit we'll just call "challenged" I figured that even if I could get an approval I would have to settle I went to Merchants not expecting much. I worked with Mark Chartrand and right from the start I was made to feel comfortable. Now years ago I worked as a car salesman and I know the pressures they can be under to deliver. Mark never once pressured me and found me exactly what I wanted the very first car he showed me. I found a crack in the bumper and he didn't hesitate to schedule an appointment to take care of it. We were able to secure financing at a rate better than I expected and I drove away very pleased. Gordon made the finance process relatively quick and easy and other than gap insurance (which I would recommend to anyone) he didn't try to sell me a bunch of "extras". In fact the included benefits with included the first service and lifetime state inspections. I may not have expected much but for all these reasons and more I am thrilled and will definitely return to them in the future. More

Unpretentious, kind, hardworking and understanding of my situation. He worked and ran (to try to make things happen quickly) to get my financing put through. amazing dealership We could not have asked for a better dealership, we arrived and as soon as we stepped foot out of our car we were greeted by Rich whom took us right t We could not have asked for a better dealership, we arrived and as soon as we stepped foot out of our car we were greeted by Rich whom took us right to his desk, do to some credit issues we expected to be turned away, but that was nit the case at all, Rich asked what type of car we were looking to get,as soon as we told him Rich brought us out to look at one that was beautiful and looked just like New as well as low miles, we took a test drive and then it was time to try to get approved a loan, to our surprise both Rich and Steve worked on it then we were told we got approved,let's just say both Rich as well as Steve went above and beyond to get us approved,we have never been to Merchants but from this day on this will be the only dealership we would go back to, all the men were so professional,kind and down to earth. Unlike other dealerships we have dealt with over the years,Merchants was never trying to steer us away from the type of car we wanted,made sure we got exactly what we hoped for and with low miles, Paul and myself would recommend Merchants to anyone looking for a car and strongly recommend working with Rich and Steve, once again Thank you all so much for your kindness and making it possible to get our dream car. The staff was very pleasant, our rep Joe was wonderful and there was no pressure which we loved! They gave us a good trade in for our vehicle even with the dent on the side of it. Our overall experienced was good but I think Merchants is a bit overrated, sorry. We had the same great experience at Bonneville. Also thought Merchant's was a bit overpriced. We found the exact same car we bought from Merchants on other lots and websites for much cheaper and lower mileage. We are really bummed about that but that's our fault. We should gone with our gut instinct and looked at a few other places before purchasing from Merchants so we would suggest that for anyone entertaining buying from Merchants. After we told a few people we bought the car from Merchants, we actually didn't get positive feedback. Merchants also had all these cars out back which we really wanted to check out but they didn't seem interested in showing us anything out there. In any case, we will see how the service department goes when we get our first oil change. Overall, we do like my Avenger :-) More
