Transmission recall horrendous I have a 2012 Ford focus SE, it's been in for all kinds of recall work at metro Ford, there's been a massive recall on the transmission of my car, but I have a 2012 Ford focus SE, it's been in for all kinds of recall work at metro Ford, there's been a massive recall on the transmission of my car, but before they would take care of the transmission you had to bring it in for a computer flash, that was done, I brought it in last week and was told that it's out of the realm of when they could fix it, then October 15th 2019 a jertry called from metro Ford,his words were that he got four to pay for half of it metro would pay for some of it but I be responsible for a warranty product of $500 out of my pocket. Extremely rude and then hung up the phone on me. Now there's a class action suit cuz Ford knew what was going on in didn't contact customers. I would never use metro Ford again to buy a new vehicle. Fast, easy, no hassle...1 follow up needed I saw the Expedition online, emailed and talked in the phone to set up an appointment. Drove an hour and a half with a ‘go or no-go’ number for my trade. Expedition was in IMPECCABLE condition for the mileage. After 2 rounds of negotiation, they hit my trade number and the deal was on. Expedition’s price needed no dickering as it was already a deal. Biller and Finance people stayed late on a Saturday to make sure I drove it home that night. Financing rates were OK, not the best compared to a credit union, but acceptable. My only negatives were: 1. that the test drive route kinda stinks. I wasn’t from the area so I didn’t know where to go, so the salesman came along and guided me. 2. They forgot the Navigation SD card, but it was UPS’d 3 days later. And 3. They only gave me 1 key. Said they didn’t know if a 2nd key was turned in, but if they found it, they’d send it to me. I asked them to check the trade-in sheet...because they logged the 2 keys I turned in with my trade. I need to know if I need to spend $300 on a 2nd key because only 1 was turned in, or wait until they find it... More
