2.5 hours for a SCHEDULED oil change I went into the dealership for an 8:30am oil change I had scheduled several days in advance. I haven’t been to a dealership to change my oil for almos I went into the dealership for an 8:30am oil change I had scheduled several days in advance. I haven’t been to a dealership to change my oil for almost 6 years as I have just done it myself at home. There was no line of cars waiting to go in, and the service waiting room was mostly empty when I arrived. The only reason I went to Metro Ford for this oil change was that I got the first one for “free”. I say “free” because it cost me 2 and a half hours of time during a work day. At 10am after sitting in the waiting room already for 90 minutes, I went to speak to my service advisor to ask if he had an estimate for how much longer it would take. My service advisor returned in a few minutes and stated it would be “another 30-45 minutes, maybe sooner”. Another 75 minutes goes by and one of the other service advisors casually comes up to me and hands me the keys and says “it’s all set, sorry for the delay it’s crazy here this morning”. Once I get in the car I noticed the tell tale sign of spilled oil burning. So they took 2.5 hours and still made a mess? This is why I change my own oil. Complete waste of my time and it will be the last time I’ll head to Metro Ford for any type of service. I won’t single anyone out for dropping the ball and letting a customer sit in the waiting room for such a long time, I just won’t be back. More
