Not lying to your customers would be a great way to change how customers feel about you. The fact that literally EVERY TIME I have been to your dealership to buy a car, I was lied to - this makes me think lying is standard MO for your dealership. Teach your sales people to be honest.. Don't lie to a customer that you have a specific vehicle on the lot, just to get them to drive 30 miles to test drive it, only to find out that no, it's NOT that vehicle. No, a 4 cyl vehicle does not drive or handle like a 6cyl version of the same vehicle. Lying about it does not endear a customer who literally DOES NOT have the time to waste. In fact, it kinda pisses customers off when you do that. Lying to customers about delivery and location is another big turn off. Lying to them about pricing is a big turn off. Trying to change the price on a vehicle after you've got an agreement from them is another big turn off. Conveniently forgetting to install every accessory offered for the vehicle (but still billing for it) is a bit of a turn off as well.

When you first reached out to our dealership you informed us that no other dealership wanted to do business with you. We should have listened. Regardless, we located a vehicle at your request and agreed to your offer. The only pricing that changed was when you added additional accessories per your request. Your vehicle was delayed because of COVID and the fact that Toyota shut down their ports ... news flash in case you hadn't heard. We continued to keep you updated throughout the process. We provided you a vehicle to drive while your vehicle was in route which we don't normally do and at our expense. After reviewing your business reviews, we may have reconsidered doing business with you. However, we still delivered the vehicle that you requested with everything you wanted included at the terms that you set.

Nice.. reply to accusations of lying with...another lie. 1. No, I did not ever state another dealer wouldn't do business with me. I stated that the other dealer couldn't find the vehicle i needed and didn't seem to have any idea where to find it. I also informed the first sales guy that I had found one in Abilene, but wasn't keen on a 2 day drive to get it. 2. You're correct in your assertion that the only price change was for the additional accessories. But that was ONLY because I forced you to correct the prices (which had magically changed during the paper shuffle). The prices were changed, when your first 'markup' sheets disappeared, despite my requesting your sales guy to give me a copy for my records, and him promising to do so. Guess what - as soon as he walked away from em, they disappeared, and his excuse was that they couldn't be copied because that's "private info" (despite having written them up IN FRONT OF ME AND GOING OVER THE DETAILS IN PERSON WITH ME. Fortunately for me, I didn't trust him to be honest, and snapped pics with my phone, which is how I actually had the numbers. See, this is the stuff that really ticks customers off, when you play shell games with them. Put a price on the vehicle, don't play games, and don't shuffle numbers. It's not that hard. Furthermore, you lied to me about delivery of the vehicle, clearly stating that it was at another dealership and would deliver in 10 days. Then the next day (after I made a deposit) you stated it'd be 3 weeks. and when I started inquiring, it turns out the truck WASN'T at a dealership, but was one allotted to a dealership, and was still enroute to port. which is a bit of a stretch, otherwise known as a lie. Your "providing a vehicle to drive" was only because your manager was caught lying to me. It's probably an appropriate thing to do after you've just got caught lying to a customer. Here's how I see it. If you'd tell your sales guys to NOT lie to customers and waste their time, you wouldn't get called on it. Calling a customer and telling them you have the exact vehicle they want, then when they take off from work and drive 20 miles (effectively burning 2hours of billable hours plus gas) can tend to make a customer a bit pissed, especially when they arrive to find out that the vehicle promised isn't even the same chassis config, never mind the right engine or body. I literally EMAILED YOU A PDF OF THE TRUCK I WANTED, EMAILED IT TO YOUR salesman and a manager. TWICE. I then provided a printed copy of specs to your sales guy. I mean, really, this isn't freaking rocket science. And you provided the truck with only one of these items. The fact that it took me two return trips to the dealership to get these issues resolved should be rather telling. If you'd only apologized at the onset and quit lying, we wouldn't now be discussing your dirty laundry on a review site. If you'd only STOPPED LYING ABOUT IT WHEN I CALLED YOU ON IT THE FIRST TIME, this would've all stopped. If you'd simply apologize for continuing your lying, perhaps this can die a slow death.
