I left my car for my appointment early AM - put my key in the dropbox with everything filled out (I called prior to make sure this was okay). I called at my appointment time to let the service department know my vehicle was there and Christine said yeah they will see it. I call again after 3pm to check on the progress and they forgot about my car! Christine then asked if I could leave it overnight. I arranged for my own transportation home and back to work the next day (they offered to Uber me home and I declined). The next day I get called about how my recalls were completed as scheduled but I had some major repairs needed - like replacement of windshield wipers etc... I had also asked if they would reattach a new piece of trim my husband put on one of my doors and was told all of the clips were broken and I needed to purchase over $300 of new clips. I asked my husband to call and talk to Patrick about it and he told Patrick it was a new piece and all of the clips should not be broken. Patrick then talked to me and explained that my husband was angry and that he would just comp the clips and needed me to bring my car back in for this. I told thanked him but said I didn't understand how all of the clips were broken - it was one corner that was not flush - maybe 1 clip broke? They were told from the get go that I needed my car returned to me before 2pm that day so I could pick up my kids from school and they told me they could do this - I called to double check this at 1pm and they said "we can't accomodate that!" I had to be stern to finally have them do what they initially said they would do and get my car back to me - I am only 10 min away! When I get my car back that trim piece was attached fine with no issues - they made me another appointment for this to get new clips and it still said in the email it was going to be over $300 to fix. I cancelled it and will not be returning to this location. Sounds like their car buying experience is great but the service department lacks in professionalism from the receptionist and lacks proper information from the service repairmen. There are multiple one star reviews on google to confirm this. I hope management/ownership sees this and is able to make some changes for the better of their company. Patrick seems to be a good serviceman but I don't think he was explaining the trim issue accurately which caused the miscommunication on this issue. I would have been fine paying for what clips were broken but if all of the clips were broken like he claimed then that trim piece wouldn't have been on at all. Just a frustrating experience all around and I didn't want it to be - hence why I called mulitple times to make sure I communicated my needs and for your location to let me know what was doable. More
I purchased my vehicle from another Kia deal in town and was trying to schedule an appointment...was going to have to leave my vehicle with them for 10-14 business days just to get a diagnostic check done. was trying to schedule an appointment...was going to have to leave my vehicle with them for 10-14 business days just to get a diagnostic check done. I called Midtown and from the first call was treated like they cared. My appointment was set up and within the time frame I was told (24-48 business hours) received a call and text with the issues that were found. When I went in to pick up the vehicle, I had a few questions that Patrick took the time to answer and when he was unable to answer one of the questions, he took me back to the Tech that worked on the car. I left there fully understanding the situation with my vehicle and felt like they wanted to take care of me as a customer...which I now am... being involved in a customer service business for over 35 years, I can honestly say Midtown Kia gets it...thank you to all I had the pleasure to interact with in this process from the woman who helped me schedule my appointment, to Patrick and the technician that took the time to talk to me. More
Was told to make an appointment for my extra key to get programmed. I was told it would be an hour long appointment. I had to take off work for the 3 pm appointment because the lady booking the appointment programmed. I was told it would be an hour long appointment. I had to take off work for the 3 pm appointment because the lady booking the appointment didn’t want to make an appointment after 2:30. After arguing with her she did push it to 3 pm. I still don’t understand that one because if it’s only an hour appointment, they could have scheduled it for 4 PM. Anyways, after I got there, I slept for over an hour just to be told that they needed a code from Kia and could not program my car key. This was after I had waited for six weeks for them to even get the key to me. After throwing a fit, the manager did finally make it to where they came to my town to pick up my car and program the key and return my car to me. I hope they have better service in the future!Strike out this time. More
