Mark Skawinski was a true pleasure to work with. He was clearly busy upon my arrival, but took a second to acknowledge me and shortly after, help me. At the 45 minute mark, he apologized to me that it was taking longer but assured me it would be done soon and a quick car wash would be included. He has a friendly and honest way about him and took a few extra seconds to tell me what was going on. When the car was finished, he quickly showed me the way and thanked me for coming in. Also, suggested that I go on the website for coupons for next visit. I was treated very nicely and would definetly recommend him to anyone needing services at Honda. We talked back and forth a lot and eventually came to agree on a very good price on a 2012 Honda Civic EX-L Hybrid that had 10,417 miles as a loaner. I came down from Maine to pick up the car and Tom was great on all aspects helping me get through the trip and then get up to West Point to crash at my daughter's. I wrote him the following note the evening I got home. Now here's a testimony that ought to help you sell a couple more hybrids. I drove to my daughter's on whatever gas was in the tank (about of a half of half of it). Then I filled up this morning in Monroe, NY. When I fill up, I fill to absolute topped off capacity, until gas is puddled in view in the neck of the tank. It can hold no more. Then I filled up about 10 miles from my home in the town of Poland, Maine. Same way...topped off. Result: 329.0 miles and 6.8 gallons of gas. Do the math. That's 48.4 mpg!!! I ran the car on Cruise at 69-70 mph, with Econ On. I didn't punch it nor baby it, but I did run it smoothly up to about 82 once just to see if it would go a bit. Now that's what I was shooting for. It will save me about $200/month, and that will cover the car payment plus a little extra over a 20mpg Mercedes (which isn't actually bad!). I don't need German styling and engineering at this point. I need efficiency and reliability. This Civic Hybrid really delivers the MPG's. More
