I established contact with Adam a few weeks ago, in our search for fleet purchasing with our FAN group number. Adam provided the numbers on two units we were interested in securing. After a few emails back search for fleet purchasing with our FAN group number. Adam provided the numbers on two units we were interested in securing. After a few emails back and forth, and a small delay in securing a check from our accounts payable, for the first unit purchase, I recontacted Adam for the delivery of the first unit. However, during the few days of reconnecting, both units were sold. Adam quickly located an identical unit at Larry Puckett's dealership in Prattville. In the meantime, I requested a quote from another identical unit from the Donohoo dealership in Fort Payne. Adam proceeded to transfer the unit from the Prattville location for processing on our purchase window. Donohoo submitted a lower quote for the identical unit, at approximately $1813.00 lower than the quoted unit from your dealership. I then called Adam and indicated the difference in costs and also indicated that our check was already made out to his dealership, and that I did not think the $1813.00 difference was a deal breaker. I asked where we could make up the difference in the numbers. Adam without hesitation offered free oil changes till the 20k-25k mile window on this purchased unit. I agreed to this offering, as two of our corporate stores are within 5 miles of his location in Cullman. He also arranged delivery to my home residence after a key misplacement, and the normal challenges of higher sales for that specific day of the week. The vehicle was delivered to my home and inspected that night. Only a single dent was located in a very odd place was noted during my inspection. Adam once again offered to pick the unit up for his paint/dent repair tech to correct the small/odd dent. I assured Adam that we could proceed at a later date on the dent removal, as our fleet employee was leaving for North Carolina on Monday morning. In all, I have no concerns or complaints at this time. I reached out to Mitch Smith, as well as another large scale/high volume dealer near our area. I was very disappointed in that large scale location, with the lack interest in selling their lot units with our FAN id. As Adam indicated his desire to close the $1813.00 gap in identical units, I forwarded the quote for his review, so the numbers would compare, rather than different options/etc. I would say that Adam is focused in making Mitch Smith a determining factor in GM sales in his area. Our deal was over the phone....not in person...and I called him, he did not cold call our company. I will revisit my purchase options within the next quarter of 2025, using our current FAN account info provided from our assigned GM fleet sales rep. More
