As far as diagnostics goes check engine lights and other minor diagnostics are $125.00, but unfortunately on engine concerns we have to go further with them to see if warranty will cover the engine. We are required to do an engine bearing clearance test, videos of engine knocking submitted to Hyundai approval center, Valve cover removed for photos to be submitted to Hyundai approval center, and several other items that they request for attempting to warranty an out of warranty engine. This car having over 125,000 miles the procedure is not covered under any kind of warranties. The process is more than the normal diagnostics process for check engine lights, rattles, ac concerns etc. as reflects in the cost of attempting to get the engine that usually costs thousands of dollars free of charge for our customers. If corporate would have approved the engine you would not have had these charges. I apologize that the length of the diagnostics process was not communicated better with you during dropping off vehicle to us. Mitch Deese Service Manager
