I will give kudos to John Miller and Zeck Ford in Leavenworth for making right what was wrong. Our situation started on a Tuesday recently when I flew from my home in Iowa to the Zeck Dealership in Leavenworth for making right what was wrong. Our situation started on a Tuesday recently when I flew from my home in Iowa to the Zeck Dealership in Purcell, OK. I test drove and purchased a Ford Transit 350. I did not notice anything unusual with the vehicle until the papers were signed and I was driving down the road toward my home in Iowa. I was pressed for time because a winter storm was forecast to hit that night. As I cranked the heater up on the van I started to get a faint whiff of cigarette smoke! At first I thought it was a strange heater smell, but by the time I got home hours later it was very distinct. I felt awful that I had just spent thousands of dollars on a smoky vehicle. The next day we called the dealership and asked if we could bring the vehicle back to the Leavenworth store because it was closer to our home. Allie Ewing was very kind as she communicated with us that the dealership management agreed to allow to return the vehicle, so we planned a trip down. We were extremely relieved that the dealership was willing to unwind the original deal to make things right and allow us to select another vehicle. John Miller was our salesman at the Leavenworth store and he was great! He was patient, kind, and knowledgeable as we carefully inspected and drove several Transits before selecting one that was (smoke free and) right for our family. There was no pressure which was a relief for us. We are very happy things turned out because we know not every dealer would have the integrity to correct the situation. More
