Brought my 2016 Civic into Barrington Motorwerks Honda because the AC had stopped cooling. They took a look and called me with the bad news — a few thousand dollars to fix it. Instead of just eating that, I asked if someone from sales could pull a trade-in value for me. No pushback at all, they got right on it and handed me a loaner in the meantime. It was the weekend, so they told me to just hang onto the car until things were sorted. Zero hassle. They called with a trade-in offer, and I asked for their best out-the-door number on a brand new 2026 Civic. What they quoted me over the phone was more than fair, so I said let's do it and set up an appointment to take delivery. My sales agent was Dakota Anzelmo, and I can't say enough good things. He kept me in the loop the entire time and was genuinely great to work with — and this was his very first sale! You'd never have guessed it. The appointment itself was quick and painless. In and out in about an hour and a half, no games, no endless back-and-forth. While we were there we also found out about the Motorwerks perks: service pickup, an on-site Starbucks, and a car wash. Nice touches that make a real difference. What started as a repair bill I didn't want to pay turned into driving home in a brand new car. Maybe buying a car experience is good there but their service department is absolutely awful. I’ve had three bad experiences. Not sure why I keep going back last time. I finally had to call at like 415 and find out what the deal was with my car the advisor for my vehicle explained it was only his second day and what’s funny is the last time I was there same thing happened. It took all day to get an oil change tire rotation, and the same thing. The guy said sorry I just started here. Seems like the turnover there is quite frequent. Maybe that’s why they have terrible service. Anyways, to have my car gone for over eight hours is insane for an oil change and a tire rotation. I wanted them to check the AC and they didn’t even get it that terrible communication at this place and terrible service.
