Jerrod Sheppard handled the closing quickly and efficiently. Overall, I was pleased with the pricing and low-keyed sale of my new Toyota. The single drawback was when the dealer's managers at first insisted on my filling out a credit application when I was doing a cash deal. I don't offer such unnecessary info especially when there are several legal conditions included on the form. I eventually ferreted out that what was really needed was my permission to perform an identity check as required by the Patriot Act. I had no problem with that, and after quite a fuss, was able to convince the managers that we could agree on a simple signed statement or we could cancel the deal. Fortunately for us both, they agreed to this. I hope they will offer this option to all buyers who do not apply for credit. If you are one of them, I recommend that you insist on it. More
