I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. What happened was that the other dealer (Dobbs) sold you an aftermarket tire sensor (not purchased from us) and it didn't correct your concern. To correct the issue, we had to dismount all 4 tires and reprogram all the tire sensors, including replacing the aftermarket sensor. We then took a picture of the aftermarket sensor and the factory sensor side by side and gave you the aftermarket sensor back to you. We only sell factory sensors and Dobbs hasn't purchased a single tire sensor from us. I would ask them to show you their invoice of the tire sensor that they "supposedly" purchased from us. I understand you are frustrated, however, your frustration needs to be with Dobbs, not with us. Thank you, Brandon Huber - Service Director -brandonhuber@mungenast.com

I will decide where my frustration needs to be. The occurrence of deception and dishonesty, and who is responsible remains to be seen, and may never be known. I was told the sensors were scanned, so all 4 tires would not need to be taken off. The manufacturer’s sensor was tried and luckily worked. I paid fully for the service, even though the Mungenast rep said he couldn’t guarantee it would work, and I’d still need to pay in full for the service—which I interpreted as another jab at ‘You use an after market part buster, not from Mungenast, you pay the consequences.’ Again, I never agreed to or asked for an after market sensor from Dobbs or anywhere else. It would have helped if Mungenast would have shown me that no sensor was actually purchased from Mungenast on the date Dobbs claimed. It would have helped to have had the sensor replaced last winter when my Lexus was first brought into Mungenast, instead of kicking the can down the road. The frustration lies and is based in the fact that service expenses and provisions are managed by dealers, and most auto repair shops, so minimal cost to the provider with maximum profit is absolute, and always at the expense of the vehicle owner; always—whether things are covered on a warranty or not. Secondly, back in December, all your tire sensors were working fine, as well as when you came in to have the oil changed in March. Your concern lies with Dobbs, we fixed the mistake that they made.
