I have had several bad issues with MB Chevrolet, as well as with McElveen Chevrolet in Charleston, but this most recent time was the final straw, and it led me to submit a legal grievance with the BBB. MB Chevrolet used dishonest sales practices to attempt to convince me I needed 2000$ in repairs. After many previous issues and disappointments with MB Chevrolet (and McElveen Chevy in Charleston), I was under the impression that I still had a warranty and so I wanted to have my car serviced there as I thought it would save me money. The front office manager Rose, as she always is, was rude and curt. She informed me that she would call me when my car was ready and she did not. I had to call her three times; each time I was rudely told that the car had not been looked at. When I finally called, before closing, I was told that it would cost 2000$ to repair my car. Having had problems with MB Chevy, I knew this was a scam. She also told me that, if I drove my car, I would be endangering myself and others and so it was better to leave my car and let them do the repairs. I took my car elsewhere. At this mechanic, he walked me through the prices and the services -- my bill there came to 230$. MB Chevy told me my AC Compressor was ruined -- this mechanic debunked this and told me that my AC Compressor did not need replacing. He laughed at me when I told him MB Chevy's quote and said, "Yeah, they're trying to scam you." This is not the first time I have experienced this ridiculous price gouging with MB Chevy and I have made several complaints, which have gone unanswered. More

The upper management have been the worst, viable, contemptable liars I have ever met...item after item has ended with more lies and promises. Corporate in Detroit have been fabulous and handled everything with a modicum of decorum. MBC, have gone past the point of miscommunication to harassment and haranguing me to the point of hospitalization. I have had to call the police for answers and explained what they are doing is criminal and I have the right to swear out an arrest warrant for " harassment via telephone" .... I surly thought the days of strong armed sales was over...not at all...go to this dealer and find out...no instead do not go, and save your self and your dignity and your money. Do not think for a minute upper management will help because, they are the main culprits... Thank you for listening and please be warned. I will add a nota Brevis...salesman have been fine...it is the financial manager and above...good luck and do not tell me, you have NOT been warned. Started looking for a new vehicle about three weeks ago. Did all of my on-line work (pricing, rating, safe reviews, etc.) and picked my 1st, 2nd and 3th choice vehicle. Visited another local Chevrolet dealership to test drive a 2012 Malibu model that I wanted - liked the car and asked for a quote on a 2012 LTZ w/1LZ - it was too high. When home and asked for a quote for the same vehicle on-line from more than four other dealers. Most did not provide a quote - they wanted to sell me a vehicle but I needed to come to the showroom or they needed to see my trade-in first. Myrtle Beach Chevrolet was the only local dealer to provide a on-line bottom line quote. (Four dealers are local to me). I give the only dealership that I had visited to this point a number of chances to offer a better deal - after three quotes - all higher than my on-line quote. Also gave them a chance to rise the value of my trade-in (found out I could sell the vehicle to Ford dealer for 10 to 15% more - no responce. I got my 2012 Chevrolet at Myrtle Beach Chevrolet. More

They are extremley friendly and knowledgable!! The salesman(Jonathan)..knew every question I asked and made sure that I got exactly what I wanted even down to the memory seat settings! I was traveling alone with my young daughter and had problems with my vehicle, went to this dealership for Beware......this is a horrible dealership! I was traveling alone with my young daughter and had problems with my vehicle, went to this dealership for help with a problem that GM would cover, service manager was rude, uncaring person as was the serivice writer. I had been talking with a GM representative because of a known documented problem with my vehicle. GM would pay for the problem but, this dealership refused to work with GM, Service manager refused to speak with the GM representative telling me I was not his customer so therefore he would do nothing to help us unless we had $1100.00 to fix the vehicle. They also tried to sell me other parts that I know my vehicle didn't need.....like brakes and rotors. This dealership could careless about the customer and is only out to make a buck and sell you as many partsas they can even if you don't neeed them. I will try to drive my vehicle back to NY where it will be repaired by a chevy dealership at no cost to me because GM will take care of it there. The sevice managers parting words to me were "he hopes I don't break down on a weekend". What a seriously sick person! I can't beleive GM would allow this dealership to represent them.
