When Grandpa Ed Napleton opened his first Buick store in 1931, he had one guiding business principle: common courtesy. That is, the customer always comes first. The 'Family Secret' must count for something: like 300,000 plus satisfied customers. Underscoring that secret's importance is the fact that about 67% of Napleton customers are repeat customers. It's readily apparent that Grandpa Ed Napleton was onto something big.
Ed Napleton had one son, Francis, who has worked continuously in the family business since 1940. The family then obtained a DeSoto dealership followed by a Chrysler Plymouth franchise. In 1960, Ed semi-retired from the auto business secure in the knowledge of a job well done.
Fran Napleton became the driving force for the family. It was then that Fran Napleton saw major opportunities to expand on what his father had started. Thanks to Fran's foresight, hard work & sacrifice, another store was obtained in 1976. Fran's diligence and commitment have earned the respect of his six sons, five of whom have followed in his footsteps by distinguishing themselves as leaders and innovators in the retail automobile business.
Today, Napleton dealerships number 24 franchises and 18 state-of-the-art sales & service facilities, providing employment for over 600 men and women. The cars sold by the Napleton's have gone from crank starters & solid tires to air bags & ABS, from rumble seats to integrated child seats. Times change but one thing hasn't: common courtesy.
The Napleton's see no reason to change. After all, we'd like to stay in business another 65 years and continue the legacy of Ed Napleton. He was quite a guy.

We had such a positive experience purchasing our first ever brand NEW vehicle at Napleton’s Subaru! Our initial meeting was simply to get more information about the vehicle we were interested in and when ever brand NEW vehicle at Napleton’s Subaru! Our initial meeting was simply to get more information about the vehicle we were interested in and when it would become available. We met with Joe who was so patient with us and our young children! He’s very courteous and a true professional. We ended up ordering our vehicle that very day! Once the tough part of waiting for our vehicle to be assembled and delivered, the process was fairly quick and painless. We felt like VIPs while we were there, so did the kids! Joe explained in detail the warranty options and the benefits of the Starlink subscription. We were happy with the value of our trade in too. I liked the financing options Chris made available to us, even matching a lower rate we were offered elsewhere. We are very happy with our purchase, our experience and the whole process. We highly recommend Napleton Subaru to others. More

They are charging $3,000 above MSRP for people trading in Subaru's. They are charging $5,000 MSRP above for non Subaru owners. I can understand an up-charge due to the current market. They are also charging Subaru's. They are charging $5,000 MSRP above for non Subaru owners. I can understand an up-charge due to the current market. They are also charging $1,000 above it if you are customizing and buying direct from Subaru. I spoke with another dealership after leaving there and they do NOT charge extra when buying direct from Subaru. Also, Theo (I think was his name) tried to tell me that used cars are depreciating in value. However, I presented them with a car at their Schaumburg location clearly listed above MSRP. Should note: this was the same car as mine will 5,000 less miles, however it did not have the optional package added like mine. I came in and they offered me $4,000 less for my car than what their website offered me. Also, they do not adhere to their 500 military incentive offered on their website. When I bought the car I was coming in to try and trade, they offered me less that 400 and told me it was only 100, "it's not that big of a deal". I went to a different Subaru dealership. Got offered $1,500 above MSRP with a package that was NOT included in the car Napleton offered me for $3,000 above. The location also offered me $3,500 more than Napleton Palatine for my trade-in. When I was leaving, I asked for his name and he refused to give it to me (Theo) and told me if I wasn’t buying a car to leave - which I already was. Then came out to my car AFTER he told ME to leave to try and talk more. Just do yourself a favor and avoid this location. More
