Edward W. Napleton, opened his first automotive business in 1931 on Chicago's South Side. With a $700 loan, a strong work ethic and a belief in common courtesy, he opened the Napleton Buick Service Station. Francis Napleton, Edward's son, was by his side to help foster the growth of the young business in its early years.
Napleton's first dealership was a DeSoto franchise, and when that brand was discontinued with little warning, Napleton quickly aligned itself with another Chrysler nameplate, Plymouth, eventually being awarded several additional franchises. Edward and Francis both believed in hard work and exceptional customer service, values that they passed down to the next generation of Napletons. Five of Francis' eight children have worked in the auto business their entire lives.
Edward F. ("Ed") Napleton, Francis' son, is a third-generation auto dealer. He began his career as a kid sweeping the floors at the dealership owned by his father and grandfather. He moved up the ranks, serving as a technician, then in sales and finance, and eventually as a general manager. At just 23 years of age, Ed became the youngest car dealer in the United States when he was awarded a Pontiac dealership in Blue Island, Illinois.
Today, the Ed Napleton Family operates more than 74 franchises in seven states. Taking pride in helping each community they live and work in, the Napleton Family name has become synonymous with excellence and teamwork. What started as a small family-owned business has blossomed into one of the most forward-thinking dealership groups in the country. Four of Ed's five children have proudly joined him in pursuing the family business and have a hand in the company's day-to-day operations.

So, I usually hate the idea of going car shopping. I actually dread it. However, I was pleasantly surprised this time around. I worked with a knowledgeable sales lady named Kathy. I had the best car experience to date last night with John Schultz from Napelton’s Valley Hyundai. He is so friendly, spent hours talking with me about my car lease options and I never felt pressured to John Schultz from Napelton’s Valley Hyundai. He is so friendly, spent hours talking with me about my car lease options and I never felt pressured to make a quick decision. He was was honest and thorough answering all of my questions as well! He helped me get the price I needed and I walked out feeling confident about my decision! Hyundai has the absolute best cars for the value. They are incredibly nice inside and out, and have a ton of options even in their base models. The cars are also very dependable! I loved my 2017 Santa Fe Sport and now I absolutely love my new 2020 Santa Fe SE! Thanks John for a great experience! More

I knew what I wanted before arriving but wasn’t planning to buy that day. My saleswoman Kathy Gorecki was enthusiastic but not overly pushy. She managed to find in inventory the exact vehicle I wanted... model, color and every option. I said what I would pay and was willing to walk away but she got her manager to agree to my price. It was the first time I bought new ever and the first time in over a decade I had to haggle but I got what I wanted for the price I wanted. It was a mostly good experience. Some minor hiccups with paperwork were discovered 2 weeks later but it was an honest mistake and the dealer did right by me. Zero hassle. Zero complaints. I love my car. I would consider this dealership again in the future. I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews but I did not experience the things I read about. More
