New Motors started as a gas station in 1927 in Hartstown, PA as a gas and service station with Vincent New as proprietor. He later grew to selling Chevrolet's and pre-owned farm equipment.
As times changed in the automotive industry, the Chevrolet sales were eliminated and replaced with a used car outlet and Volvo's acquisition in 1963 followed by Saab and Fiat. His 2 sons, Larry and Gary, began working in their father's garage in the early 60's.
The New brothers quickly learned that hard work and good service would earn a customer for life. It was this work ethic that influenced Larry and Gary to develop the company's mission statement:
"To ensure that you remain our customer for life we are committed to exceed your expectations---Period!"
Every employee from the original 3, to the current 95, practices the mission statement, striving for customer satisfaction.
The decision was made to move the dealership to Erie, PA as an exclusive Volvo dealer in 1970. The 8,000 square foot building was built on 3 acres of land. Vincent New passed away just 3 short months after the completion of the New dealership. He did not get to see the expansion to 80 acres with facilities combining 42,500 square feet of work space with 2 showrooms housing the current pre-owned department and 3 franchises (Subaru, Volkswagen, and BMW).
New Motors is now the top parts wholesaler in PA, Ohio, New York, Virginia, and West Virginia. The company has earned the dealer of excellence and Stellar Performers Certification from Subaru for their drive in outstanding customer Satisfaction.

I had a very good experience at New Motors leasing my 2026 WRX. It was very easy and convenient. I did my negotiations via email and and agreed to a price on line. After arriving at the dealership, Mike Francis was there to greet me, and had the car ready for me to test drive. He pointed out the operation of most the controls and amenities. While at the dealership, I received a call that a contractor was going to be coming to my home to install an appliance that I had been waiting on. I mentioned it to Mike. He gave me the option of waiting to meet with the IF person or come back the next day. I chose to stay and he was able to get me into see the IF person almost immediately. The IF person, Michelle Happy, was very personable and easy to work with. She got through the process quickly, and on my way. Overall, my Experience was very good, and I would 100% recommend the dealership to any of my friends that might be considering a Subaru. I will add that at no time did I feel pressured to do or buy anything. Yes, things were offered, but there was no hard sales pitch to purchase them. More

I had an excellent vehicle search and buying experience at New Motors with my primary contact being Kieth Golembiewski. Keith directed me to the vehicle that met my requirements to the T. Upon setting up a test drive with very little notice from me, he took the time to answer technical questions concerning the newer safety features that I wasn't accustomed to. He clearly understood I was old school and not newer car electronic savy. He walked me thru all the features with ease. The new paperless purchasing process was also smooth and fast. I was able to complete the purchasing process in less than a hour without the pushyness of dealership add ons. I have already had two follow up calls to confirm that I didnt have any more questions and was satisfied with the entire process. Guess what, I couldnt be any happier More
