New Motors started as a gas station in 1927 in Hartstown, PA as a gas and service station with Vincent New as proprietor. He later grew to selling Chevrolets and pre-owned farm equipment.
As times changed in the automotive industry, the Chevrolet sales were eliminated and replaced with a used car outlet and Volvo's acquisition in 1963 followed by Saab and Fiat. His 2 sons, Larry and Gary, began working in their father's garage in the early 60's.
The New brothers quickly learned that hard work and good service would earn a customer for life. It was this work ethic that influenced Larry and Gary to develop the company's mission statement:
"To ensure that you remain our customer for life we are committed to exceed your expectations---Period!"
Every employee from the original 3, to the current 95, practices the mission statement, striving for customer satisfaction.
The decision was made to move the dealership to Erie, PA as an exclusive Volvo dealer in 1971. The 8,000 square foot building was built on 3 acres of land. Vincent New passed away just 3 short months after the completion of the New dealership. He did not get to see the expansion to 80 acres with facilities combining 42,500 square feet of work space with 2 showrooms housing the current used department and 3 franchises (Subaru, Volkswagen, and BMW).
New Motors is now the top parts wholesaler in PA, Ohio, New York, Virginia, and West Virginia. The company has earned the dealer of excellence and Stellar Performers Certification from Subaru for their drive in outstanding customer Satisfaction.

I can’t say enough nice things about Nick Gaiser and New Motors Subaru. To start we are repeat customers, which should tell you everything you want to know. We knew we wanted another Subaru we just weren Motors Subaru. To start we are repeat customers, which should tell you everything you want to know. We knew we wanted another Subaru we just weren’t exactly sure which Subaru we wanted. Nick was kind, patient and thorough as he showed us all the cars we were interested in. He answered all our questions explained all the differences and features. He was honest and wasn’t pushy or high pressure in anyway. Once we decided on the Forester Hybrid he walked us through the process. He made sure to go through the features of the Forester because it had features our Outback didn’t have. The whole process from beginning to end was nothing but awesome! I know the paperwork and the finance part of car buying can sometimes be less than awesome. But not true of New Motors. Michele in finance was lovely and kind and walked us through all the things. If you are looking for a car do yourself a favor and go see see Nick at New Motors. More
