New Motors started as a gas station in 1927 in Hartstown, PA as a gas and service station with Vincent New as proprietor. He later grew to selling Chevrolets and pre-owned farm equipment.
As times changed in the automotive industry, the Chevrolet sales were eliminated and replaced with a used car outlet and Volvo's acquisition in 1963 followed by Saab and Fiat. His 2 sons, Larry and Gary, began working in their father's garage in the early 60's.
The New brothers quickly learned that hard work and good service would earn a customer for life. It was this work ethic that influenced Larry and Gary to develop the company's mission statement:
"To ensure that you remain our customer for life we are committed to exceed your expectations---Period!"
Every employee from the original 3, to the current 95, practices the mission statement, striving for customer satisfaction.
The decision was made to move the dealership to Erie, PA as an exclusive Volvo dealer in 1971. The 8,000 square foot building was built on 3 acres of land. Vincent New passed away just 3 short months after the completion of the New dealership. He did not get to see the expansion to 80 acres with facilities combining 42,500 square feet of work space with 2 showrooms housing the current used department and 3 franchises (Subaru, Volkswagen, and BMW).
New Motors is now the top parts wholesaler in PA, Ohio, New York, Virginia, and West Virginia. The company has earned the dealer of excellence and Stellar Performers Certification from Subaru for their drive in outstanding customer Satisfaction.

My BMW was in the shop for 9 days because of a less than professional attempt at a camera repair performed at New Motors. I realize many customers may have had a positive buying experience, but for me, I would not consider purchasing again from this dealer, mainly based on first impressions....memorable, but not favorable. Still waiting for a response from the owner, Mr. New....a great example of customer service at it's best. More

Heated Seats! My wife and I had come to New Motors months ago when we started thinking about getting a car. Even though we didn't intend to buy, the salesman, Keith My wife and I had come to New Motors months ago when we started thinking about getting a car. Even though we didn't intend to buy, the salesman, Keith, was very helpful. So when we got our tax return we remembered him and went back. Keith did a great job in getting us the car we wanted based on our previous meeting. It was very snowy the day we cam to visit, and the cars we wanted to look at were hard to get out, and I was impressed that he went to the trouble of pushing it out of the snow. I'm glad he did, because the Elantra had the space we wanted in the size we needed, and was able to meet my own secret dream of having heated seats all neatly within our budget. I would certainly recommend Keith and New Motors to anyone looking to buy a new car. More
