New Motors started as a gas station in 1927 in Hartstown, PA as a gas and service station with Vincent New as proprietor. He later grew to selling Chevrolets and pre-owned farm equipment.
As times changed in the automotive industry, the Chevrolet sales were eliminated and replaced with a used car outlet and Volvo's acquisition in 1963 followed by Saab and Fiat. His 2 sons, Larry and Gary, began working in their father's garage in the early 60's.
The New brothers quickly learned that hard work and good service would earn a customer for life. It was this work ethic that influenced Larry and Gary to develop the company's mission statement:
"To ensure that you remain our customer for life we are committed to exceed your expectations---Period!"
Every employee from the original 3, to the current 95, practices the mission statement, striving for customer satisfaction.
The decision was made to move the dealership to Erie, PA as an exclusive Volvo dealer in 1971. The 8,000 square foot building was built on 3 acres of land. Vincent New passed away just 3 short months after the completion of the New dealership. He did not get to see the expansion to 80 acres with facilities combining 42,500 square feet of work space with 2 showrooms housing the current used department and 3 franchises (Subaru, Volkswagen, and BMW).
New Motors is now the top parts wholesaler in PA, Ohio, New York, Virginia, and West Virginia. The company has earned the dealer of excellence and Stellar Performers Certification from Subaru for their drive in outstanding customer Satisfaction.

He is very pleasant to work with, and does not pressure one to add features that are not suitable for the buyer. We have purchased both from on the lot inventory, and by ordering a vehicle to our specifications. Each time, the process has been quick and easy. We always learn something new about the BMW product when we work with Steve. He contacts us frequently by phone and by email to keep us updated about the process. When we purchase the car, his tutorial about the car is easy to understand, and very helpful. He is willing to program the car to meet our specifications and add our Bluetooth and remote devices. We are very happy with are new X5 SUV. Alan Yingling made the financial process painless, and Mark, the BMW Service Manager, has always provided us with excellent service. We wanted to express our appreciation to all the staff for a very positive experience; especially Tony Confer, our Sales Representative who was wonderful. He helped us explore our option and was a great help in finding the right vehicle for the right price. Tony and the other staff were very professional and the pride in the products they were selling showed. After our purchase, Tony gave us a tour of the building, introducing us to the service and parts department employees so that we would feel comfortable taking our Subaru in for service. Purchase/lease new or maintain old. It' been a month since I leased a new Forester. I was impressed with Damien as soon as I entered the dealership. He approached me but was not pushy. When I decided I really did want a new car, he answered all my questions about the models, what was in stock and the changes since my last purchase 4 years ago. He's a fairly new sales rep ( 2 yrs) but was quite knowledgeable. During my visit he repeated a couple things, which I appreciated. He showed me the new features on the car and how to find help in the manual. Damien was patient ( I am 69 yrs old) and made me feel quite comfortable with my choices. The dealership was clean and well staffed. My car has been performing extremely well and I am sure I will visit New Motors and Damien the next time I want a new vehicle. More

This dealership wanted me as a customer. I had a Honda Cross tour so I went street track and trail in Conneaut lake, Pa. I assumed I was going to get another Cross tour. Now this is a dealership that my brother worked there many years ago. My parents drove several Accords home from there and I have bought a couple of cars from there. Four years ago when I bought the Cross tour I worked with a sales man who, use to work with my brother but I did not care how I was treated which was nothing special. I felt like I was just a number. So I went there again and they were not willing to deal and offered a low figure for the vehicle. So I left and I went to New Motors and I ended up getting a great deal on a 2014 cross trek and Mike Francis was amazing to deal with. No pressure but I learned things from him and between him and Allen Yingling I felt like I was wanted as a customer and I will never go back to Honda again. I will buy another vehicle from them. I love how they made me feel. I am not a number I am important to them and Thank you so very much for such a pleasurable experience!!! I have nothing but praise for New Motors. Darcie T. More
