New Motors started as a gas station in 1927 in Hartstown, PA as a gas and service station with Vincent New as proprietor. He later grew to selling Chevrolets and pre-owned farm equipment.
As times changed in the automotive industry, the Chevrolet sales were eliminated and replaced with a used car outlet and Volvo's acquisition in 1963 followed by Saab and Fiat. His 2 sons, Larry and Gary, began working in their father's garage in the early 60's.
The New brothers quickly learned that hard work and good service would earn a customer for life. It was this work ethic that influenced Larry and Gary to develop the company's mission statement:
"To ensure that you remain our customer for life we are committed to exceed your expectations---Period!"
Every employee from the original 3, to the current 95, practices the mission statement, striving for customer satisfaction.
The decision was made to move the dealership to Erie, PA as an exclusive Volvo dealer in 1971. The 8,000 square foot building was built on 3 acres of land. Vincent New passed away just 3 short months after the completion of the New dealership. He did not get to see the expansion to 80 acres with facilities combining 42,500 square feet of work space with 2 showrooms housing the current used department and 3 franchises (Subaru, Volkswagen, and BMW).
New Motors is now the top parts wholesaler in PA, Ohio, New York, Virginia, and West Virginia. The company has earned the dealer of excellence and Stellar Performers Certification from Subaru for their drive in outstanding customer Satisfaction.

Never again!!!!!! We own a Kia Sedona that had a recall. He took the van into New Motors to have that work performed. They did not do the work on the recall, as part of the recall was that they were supposed to undercoat the van. When asked why they did not do that part of the job, they said they didn't have the undercoating. When we made the appointment, they were aware why it was being brought in. Worse than that, less than a week from them having the vehicle, the van started leaking oil. In taking it to a different dealer who actually would perform the work, we were told that it had had the oil leak for awhile as the engine was covered in oil. There is no way that they couldn't have seen all this oil(as it was a puddle on the ground) and did not say anything to us about it. When we spoke to the GM, he had no problem with any of the things that were done and actually said, "The only reason you are bothering me is to vent?" WOW!!!! Customer service at its WORST!!!!!!! They also refused to give us a loaner and were very difficult to get an appointment with. Never would I ever purchase a vehicle from them and be stuck dealing with these people!!!!!!! More
