New Motors started as a gas station in 1927 in Hartstown, PA as a gas and service station with Vincent New as proprietor. He later grew to selling Chevrolets and pre-owned farm equipment.
As times changed in the automotive industry, the Chevrolet sales were eliminated and replaced with a used car outlet and Volvo's acquisition in 1963 followed by Saab and Fiat. His 2 sons, Larry and Gary, began working in their father's garage in the early 60's.
The New brothers quickly learned that hard work and good service would earn a customer for life. It was this work ethic that influenced Larry and Gary to develop the company's mission statement:
"To ensure that you remain our customer for life we are committed to exceed your expectations---Period!"
Every employee from the original 3, to the current 95, practices the mission statement, striving for customer satisfaction.
The decision was made to move the dealership to Erie, PA as an exclusive Volvo dealer in 1971. The 8,000 square foot building was built on 3 acres of land. Vincent New passed away just 3 short months after the completion of the New dealership. He did not get to see the expansion to 80 acres with facilities combining 42,500 square feet of work space with 2 showrooms housing the current used department and 3 franchises (Subaru, Volkswagen, and BMW).
New Motors is now the top parts wholesaler in PA, Ohio, New York, Virginia, and West Virginia. The company has earned the dealer of excellence and Stellar Performers Certification from Subaru for their drive in outstanding customer Satisfaction.

This was our first visit and subsequent purchase from New Motors. We found the experience to be a very pleasant one. We were very interested in the 2011 Kia Sorento and stopped to look at the current invento Motors. We found the experience to be a very pleasant one. We were greeted by Jason Green within a few minutes of arrival as we were browsing the lot. We told him we were interested in the Sorento and he began by showing us a nicely equipped unit and offered us the opportunity to take it for a drive. He showed and discribed the many features of the vehicle and knowledgeably answered all questions asked. He offered to locate one for us in the color of choice and equipped to our preference. He discribed the various methods of financing available. We made the required deposit and Jason told us he would let us know as soon as he located a vehicle matching our preferences. Within a week we decided we would prefer to just order one direct as opposed to waiting on one being located. We were told it would be in on or around April 15. It arrived at the dealership on Monday 4/19 and we arranged to take delivery on Saturday 4/24 as I was out of town on business the early part of the week. The delivery experience was also vey pleasant.We were contacted by Jason as a follow-up to taking delivery, and again he told us to feel free to contact him if we needed anything or ever had a question.
