New Prius Prime In mid December I received a call informing me of the Toytathon sales event and encouraging me to consider trading in my 2012 Prius. I happened to be In mid December I received a call informing me of the Toytathon sales event and encouraging me to consider trading in my 2012 Prius. I happened to be near the dealership the next day and stopped to see Mark Barto, the longtime salesman that I had used in three previous Prius purchases (2005, 2006, 2012). After some discussion, I decided I wanted a new Prius Prime and gave mark the details on package and added options. He had my current car evaluated for trade-in and I used my credit card to leave a deposit on the new car. Only problem was the Primes are in extremely short supply. I was leaving for a trip to Michigan over Christmas in a few days, Mark kept me informed of his efforts to add my car to the next dealer allocation shipment or to find one at another dealer. When I returned on the 27th of December, I had an email that Mark had located the car I wanted and had it transferred from northern New Jersey. It had a couple of minor options installed in NJ that I didn't want, but Mark worked on the prices of those and the ones I did want so the total price was actually a bit lower. I picked up the car on the 29th and couldn't be happier. I see online that most people are having to wait into the spring to obtain one of these new plug-in hybrids. I really appreciate Mark's effort in arranging this deal and getting the car so quickly. As a result I even was able to buy it during the Toyotathon which saved me another $1000. Now I have bought four cars from Newark Toyota World using Mark Barto as the salesman. I expect in five years or so to be back for the fifth, especially if Mark is still around. More

All from being pushed into a curb by a big oncoming SUV! So I went straight to Toyota service center with no appointment and no call. Drove in and was immediately greeted and they got to work. In a couple of hours I had two new Michelin Defenders and an alignment and was on my way. Road hazard coverage helped some as they prorated the tires. Still an expensive day! More
