It was an enjoyable experience. I am used to pushy sales people. I was able to buy my jeep for a very fair price. We went to Newburgh Toyota looking for a Prius V. We already have one Prius and wanted a slightly larger car to fulfill our needs. Maureen handled all of our questions, explained all of the differences between the V three and five, and the differences in the option packages. She presented 2 cars for us to see, then patiently and efficiently showed and compared the operations of each. Next we test drove both cars. It was refreshing to have such a capable sales person who gave us all of the information that we needed without pressuring us for a decision. When we returned with our decision, she and Chuck quickly and efficient put all the paperwork in order so that we could drive our new car home the next day. The day of our pick up, Maureen spent hours making sure the entune system was enabled, no easy task since the internet/wi-fi and sprint signals were very weak in that area. After attempting the hook up for what had to be a frustrating to her length of time, she called on Phil F.to help solve the problem. Between the 2 they creatively managed the installation by driving around the lot until we could get the right signals to allow the installation. They were the best! Newburgh Toyota was friendly enough until after we got the vehicle home and discovered a problem. They took it in to service and thought they had fixed the problem. It is NOT fixed, and now they want no the vehicle home and discovered a problem. They took it in to service and thought they had fixed the problem. It is NOT fixed, and now they want nothing to do with even attempting to make it right. Thought buying a used car from a dealer would ensure some kind of reliable service....guess not. Got a call from Newburgh Toyota a day after submitting this review. Seems the service dept was not consulted in making the decision to give us no further service. They (service) wanted to try to do something for us. Took the car back and they kept it a week (with offers of a loaner car) and they could not get the problem to occur. They consulted with a Subaru dealer and a possible cause was suggested. They have replaced a dimmer switch in hopes that it corrects the problem. Picked the car up last night and so far the problem has not occured again. Hoping that fixed it. If I could rate the service department seperate from the sales dept, I would give service high marks!
