Newport Lexus failed to deliver us a 2nd key to our new 2024 RX350h at signing and vehicle delivery on February 6, 2024. Instead our salesman confidently promised to get the 2nd key to us “in about a week 2024 RX350h at signing and vehicle delivery on February 6, 2024. Instead our salesman confidently promised to get the 2nd key to us “in about a week or two”. Two weeks later, when we contacted him, Yas said “It may take another month”. The following month, we had to contact him again. This time he said “it might take longer”, and then he literally just forgot about us. No follow up calls - crickets for almost 6 months from date of purchase. Several voicemail messages to the general manager were also ignored. Detailed email to the general manager - ignored. It was not until we threatened to give the car back and sue on August 3, 2024 during the car’s first routine maintenance visit to the service dept, when suddenly the service dept. “found” an “emergency replacement key” for us that day. This was our 3rd vehicle purchase from Newport Lexus and our last. Never again will we even think of buying another car from Newport Lexus, which apparently changed ownership several months ago. This may explain the sudden vanishing act of former, good quality sales and service. Beware of this dealership. More
