I brought my 2019 Lexus RX-350 in for one year service and a recall repair. I left it at 8:30 in the morning and received a loaner and my car was ready by 4 PM. I’ve been to other Lexus dealerships closer to my home, but the service was not A+ like Newport Lexus. I can always depend on them to take care of my vehicle and me every time I visit them. Shockingly subpar service for a Lexus Authorized Dealer I received such shockingly subpar service from Newport Lexus and dishonest dealing with their Service Advisor and Service Director that I find their 5 I received such shockingly subpar service from Newport Lexus and dishonest dealing with their Service Advisor and Service Director that I find their 5-star rating to be extremely suspect. Being from out of state and unfamiliar with local shops but in need of some significant repairs on my 2018 Lexus GX460 before the long drive home I picked this place due to their 5-star rating. I also knew going in that it would cost more but fought with my insurance company to be able to take my vehicle here instead of picking from a list of suggested local repair shops from my insurer because I'd mistakenly felt a sense of security due to their authorized dealership status. Boy, was I wrong. The work needed were to repair the Front Bumper / the Driver Side Fender and replace the Front Upper Grill, the Hood, and the Driver Side Headlight as well as perform an Interior Detail. I dropped off my vehicle on Tuesday and Newport Lexus promised that the work would take no more than 3 days to complete. I was told to come pick up my vehicle on Friday. This was perfect as I told them I need to make the long drive home the following morning in order to be back at work on Monday. When I got my vehicle back I noticed right away that the Front Upper Grill that was supposed to have been removed and replaced was still on my vehicle. The Service Advisor and the Service Director blamed it on miscommunication even though this was one of the first and a major item on the work order. I'm told that they would have to keep my vehicle over the weekend and would not be able to complete the work until Monday afternoon. I came to pick up my vehicle on Monday afternoon and as I drove onto the freeway I notice an increasingly loud whistling sound coming from the front windshield that was replaced. I turned around and Newport Lexus had one of their technician took it for a ride to confirmed the problem and which he did. This time they blamed it on a missing clip and proceed to take my vehicle to the back to fix it. Once that was done I insisted that the same technician take it out for a test drive to ensure the problem was fixed, he came back and confirm that the clip wasn't the problem, the whistling was still there, and they would have to remove and reinstall the windshield. However, that was something they couldn't do then and I would need to leave my vehicle overnight again and they'll call me when it's done. I came back for the third time on Tuesday to pick up my vehicle and while the front windshield has finally been installed correctly. I noticed that my newly replaced hood was not properly adjusted and there was a wide gap in the weather seal as well as scratches & dents on both the left and right side of my steering wheel. Again there were more excuses. By now it has been a full week since I first dropped off my vehicle. I pointed out to both the Service Advisor (Kaitlyn Cracknell) and the Service Director (Jason Johnson) that the services provided were shockingly poor and which is causing a huge headache for me due to the delay of my return trip and missing out on work. I asked them both to look into what went so wrong and that they need to at least provide me with a partial refund. Both apologized and assured me that they would review / discuss it with higher ups and get back to me the following week on what they could do to make it right. No follow up call ever came. No surprise here. More
