A wonderful place for car service I recently request a rear light repair service for my 2015 VW Sportwagon. Since I just moved to SAC from seattle, I googled the nearest VW dealership I recently request a rear light repair service for my 2015 VW Sportwagon. Since I just moved to SAC from seattle, I googled the nearest VW dealership and I chose Niello randomly. To be honest, I did not expect much when I was making this appointment. But Roger is a very nice and helpful man. He helped me get everything done and FREE! One more thing, guys in Niello washed my car soooo much better than the university VW dealership in seattle. More

Unfortunately, the process was taking a bit longer, but David kept me entertained and had a cheerful and funny attitude through the whole thing. David is extremely knowledgeable about Volkswagens. If you want a GTI or have questions he is the one to go to. He also is an encyclopedia of knowledge about all other VW's too. I had a good experience when I bought my 2017 Red GTI Sport. I love it. Thank you, David and Niello. More

TL;DR: 10/10 would happily do business here again! We spotted a used Passat at Niello VW on CarGurus.com and sent in an information request. Within 10 minutes we had a call from Brandon Balassi giving us further details on the car. We asked him to have the car ready for us to view at lunchtime. When we arrived the car was out front ready for a test drive (no futzing around waiting for it to be pulled for a back lot as has happened at other dealers). Brandon was lovely and low pressure. After months of research and waiting for the right car at the right price, we were in and out the door in under 2 hours with a rate 20% lower than our credit union! TD Nguyen was superb on the finance side. Both TD and Brandon were excellent, low pressure guys who actually listened on the finance terms rather than continually pushing products we were not interested in. TL;DR: 10/10 would happily do business here again! More

Brandon, who sold me my Jetta was so nice that I now consider him a friend. They gave me an great deal and three weeks later, they still follow up to make sure I'm happy with the car. Bad customer service. Unfriendly. Unhelpful. Horrible customer service. Very unfriendly, and unhelpful staff. I would advise avoiding Roger Bybee to deal with your car. He is very rude, unhelpful Horrible customer service. Very unfriendly, and unhelpful staff. I would advise avoiding Roger Bybee to deal with your car. He is very rude, unhelpful and dishonest. Niello VW Service department can use some help on how to treat customers, and how to diagnose service issues. The issue my vehicle had and the reason I brought my car to them, was not even approached or looked at. They simply said there is not a check engine light on, so your out of luck. They kept my vehicle for 27 hours for no reason, and tried to charge me for parts and service I did not approve. I feel as though they could care less about you as a customer, and I would suggest taking your car to a different VW dealer for any service needs. I am an experienced long time service advisor and service manager of a VW/Audi dealership and am appalled that this dealer has awards with the service I have experienced and witnessed. Any award giving to this service department is misleading and any award that is placed on Roger Bybee's desk should not exist. I will however end this with the fact their coffee was good and waiting area is nice, as I had to wait 3 hours for a simple 1 hour stereo job. I hope their sales department is better, but the time that I spent walking around the lot and showroom, i was not approached once by a sales associate, so I would not know. Best of luck to all on your VW needs. More

Something shady is going on at this establishment 2. They lie to their customers 3. Sales reps are out to make sales regardless of what your concerns are 4. To sell a car, the car must be present- not being taken out for joy rides by workers etc. I called the day before and spoke to a sales rep to make sure the car was going to be there because I was coming from out of town. When I arrived the person I spoke to previously was off and someone named Jamal insisted that he would be able to help me out. I said I was there to see a 2013 CC that was listed online. INSTANTLY he pointed to the car in front of us and said it was that one without a doubt and said he would get the keys. As he raced in, my brother and I walked to the front of the car and noticed it was a 2011 model. So my family and I went off to look for the car ourselves, after 10 minutes of walking around and noticed the car was not on their lot. I noticed Jamal backing out the CC that he insisted was the car I was looking for. I quickly ran over and told him it wasn't the one. That's when he said okay, parked and said he would check on the car I was asking for. 15 minutes later... Jamal said the car was at the detailing shop and that they called it and it would be back ASAP. 30 minutes later... Jamal came back and offer my family water. Restated that they called and the car is on it's way and that we could take the car as soon as it arrives. My parents asked a couple more questions about why the car was at the shop and which shop, Jamal declined to answer. 50 minuties later.. I see a young couple racing down the street with the potential car I wanted to purchase come in the drive way. This is when I see their boss waving his hands and yelling at the young man as he races inside the dealership. I walk around to where the car was parked and Jamal said let's take a drive. I opened the driver side door and poof- all I smelt was perfume. Jamal had lied. The car was not cleaned/ detailed like he insisted for the past hour. I took the car for the test drive since it was the car I wanted to buy, but I noticed an additional 1,300 miles on the car!! Jamal apologized and said that they would make things right if I bought the car. He actually said that wasn't a lot of miles and not to worry. After my 10 minute test drive the dealership had closed when we got back . Jamal rushed us to go inside, to sign papers. I wanted to discuss with my family if it was right to purchase since we noticed during the car ride more bumpy than usual. Jamal did not leave, instead insisted that we were "stupid" if we did not purchase today. Jamal said we could discuss numbers inside with his boss. Since the car was covered under warranty I considered it. We tried to negotiate less than 1,000 off the price. Jamel said No. Didn't bother to ask. ( Didn't know he was his own boss) We had to go up 500 for him to consider, but getting a counter 200 off the asking price. The additional mileage was 1,300 miles added to the car at 20 cents a mile ( this is what Jamal said they charge) = 260 dollars should have been taken off at least not 200. I did not purchase their car. The next day I received a text from the lady who I had made the appointment with. She asked why I did not buy the car. I explained to her exactly what I had wrote in this review. Her response was that the car was LOANED to a customer since their car was in the shop being repaired and a miscommunication occurred.( I did not know that the boss would yell at customers because that is what happened when the young man brought it back.) She asked if I'd considered going back to purchase the car if we did not have to deal with Jamal. I declined and went to another dealership to buy my car. More
