I never felt at any point that I was dealing with a "car sales man", but with a person who had knowledge and was willing to direct me in the right direction. He took the time to let us know about him in a personal light and found that we had much in common, which made it a much more relaxed situation. This man deserves the utmost recognition. I visited Nissan of Elk Grove on a whim and I was really glad that I did. I have had bad experiences with overly aggressive salesmen at other dealerships in the past. The positive buying experience began as soon as I walked through the door. I was warmly greeted by a friendly receptionist who called for a salesman to assist us and offered us refreshments while we waited. The salesman that assisted me, Vu Huynh, was friendly, easy going, and patient. I asked my questions, he answered them knowledgeably, and showed me the options available based on my purchase criteria. He showed me different models and trim levels and I was able to test drive the ones I was interested in. In the end he was able to get me exactly what I wanted at the price point that I was comfortable with. Once we started the paper work, the car went in for detailing, and I began working with a finance manager Dave Hidalgo. He was very friendly and straight forward. I specifically remember him saying, "I wouldn't recommend something that I don't believe in". How can you argue with that? I don't know about you, but that aligns with my personal philosophies for sales. He explained all of the paper work thoroughly, reviewed the maintenance packages and warranties available for purchase then I signed all the paper work. I want readers to keep in mind that I had ZERO intentions of buying a car when I stepped on the lot; but after getting everything squared away, I was able to drive off the lot with a smile on my face. I still have that smile on my face. The purchase experience was THAT GOOD. I will definitely be referring my friends and family to Nissan of Elk Grove. His professionalism, willingness to help, and overall attitude made this one of the most positive buying experiences we have had to date. Without doubt we would buy a car from Matt again, and most definitely from Nissan of Elk Grove. We never felt like we were being sold on anything, from beginning to end Matt had a willingness to help and ensured that our needs were first and foremost. I have HATED the car buying experience in the past, and after this experience can honesty say I no longer have that fear. I cannot recommend Matt Heidrich enough as an amazing person, excellent salesman, and above all else someone who holds customer service at the forefront. Additionally, we had the pleasure of dealing directly with Matt Bassett. He made it clear his involvement was to ensure customer satisfaction and to make sure we were happy, whether it meant a sale would occur or not. Really could not say enough good things about both Matt Bassett and Matt Heidrich. We can honestly say if we had to deal with any other person, this sale would likely have not occurred, and certainly not on the same day it did. With that said, I can also say, we would NOT have had the positive experience we feel today. Vu was very helpful from the very beginning of our experience. When we got to the dealership, Vu had the car we had expressed an interest in already in the showroom. We recently (1/30/13) had some major work done on our Altima and she once again explained what needs to be repaired with detail print outs of the problem along with telling my husband and I in person exactly what happened to our car. Cruz is always a constant professional, very pleasant and contacts us immediatley.
