I called at 10:21 AM asking if they had a 'breather tube' for a 2015 Honda Accord LX 2.4L engine. Part number is 17152-5A2-A00, and the man on the phone said I would need to 'pre-pay' for the ~$20 part (roug for a 2015 Honda Accord LX 2.4L engine. When I go in to 'pre-pay 30 minutes later, that gentleman on the left computer walking into the parts department looked up the exact part and quoted me over $200! Looking at the diagram, a 3-4 inch PCV hose does not cost $200. Either he was quoting me for part of the air box system or he was not paying close attention. I asked him if he could look more into it and speak with someone on his team to determine if that was a mistake in the system, something I am very well aware that is above his pay grade, but still didn't seem interested in helping out me, the customer. If I was in his position, which I have been many times, I would have called Honda America or another source to determine why the obvious (a $10-$20 part) was priced incorrectly. Instead, he let me walk out and waste my time driving to the dealership. This comes down to customer service, training and putting more interest in helping the customer than thinking they are always right. Systems, computers, etc. can be incorrect at times; it's not always perfect. More
