Lack of customer support -yet always want to be highly rated For the past few years I’ve brought my car in for routine service to this dealer. I get occasional mailers with service offers and check online services offers. Since I’ve been going for a while I have heard advisers provide discounts to clients when checking out. My car’s engine light turned on and since it was over the mileage warranty the scan set me $180 back. I was told that I had 30 days to bring it back to get that amount applied to the $800 repairs it needed. At the time I didn’t have the money so I brought it in 60 days after. The “service adviser” promptly said nothing could be done because it had been past the 30 day limit. Service adviser had no interest in trying to provide an accommodation to my bill. And found myself having to make a case to get a car rental for the day $30 value (which was listed online free for premium service). A client that was helped by another adviser was given a car. Some clients treated like royalty others not so much. That was my last time taking my car there. More

Warranty service . I called Norm Reeves to schedule an appointment for a warranty service on a brand new 2020 Hyundai palisade . The young lady was very Kind & profess I called Norm Reeves to schedule an appointment for a warranty service on a brand new 2020 Hyundai palisade . The young lady was very Kind & professional over the phone she schedule my appointment for 8:45 am the next day . I met Gary the service advisor after only about five minutes from checking in . Again very professional and concerned about the issues at hand . He said he would have a service tech look into it and he would call me back by 1 o’clock in the afternoon . To my surprise when he did did call back about 11:20 he advised me that the vehicle was fixed and I can pick it up anytime ! Now that’s the type of service that I would expect to get anywhere and I did get that at Norm Reeves thank you guys great job ! More

Second Bad Experience I should’ve learned my lesson after the first bad service department experience with Norm Reeves Hyundai (Cerritos). I took my car in yesterday for a I should’ve learned my lesson after the first bad service department experience with Norm Reeves Hyundai (Cerritos). I took my car in yesterday for a 90k service. Shortly after picking it up, I saw that my check engine light was on (which was not on before I took it in). I also saw that my brake lights are not working (I just replaced them a couple months ago with new bulbs, so they should be working fine). When I called (right when I got home), they recommended that I return. I told them this is the second bad experience I got from them and they transferred me to a manager, who had yet to return my call. I also called back the service representative who took care of me and have not received a call back. Do yourself a favor and don’t even bother coming in here. They are keen to provide 5 star customer service, but they lack the attention to detail and follow through to actually fix your car’s service needs. This was in no way the service rep’s fault - the mechanics screwed it up. The only thing I wish the service rep did was to return my call or have his manager call me. What a waste of time. Edit: Tim from Service called me back and asked me to come back in. The check engine light fixed itself by the time I came in, so that did not need to be addressed. I guess the short explanation is: performing maintenance on Hyundais can actually trigger the check engine light. They fixed my brake lights - the new lights I recently put in supposedly burned out. Not sure if I believe that reason but it’s at least fixed. I changed my review to five star on the sole basis that Tim at least tried to help me. It’s really not his fault that the overall operations of this dealership needs improvement. I would recommend going to see Tim there if you have to go to Norm Reeves Hyundai. I still stand by my initial assessment of not recommending Norm Reeves Hyundai service department to anyone. More
