Outstanding Special Effort Received -- Will Return! My husband and I traded in our 2012 Kia Soul and purchased a 2014 Ford Focus Hatchback only to discover a few days later that it was not at all the ca My husband and I traded in our 2012 Kia Soul and purchased a 2014 Ford Focus Hatchback only to discover a few days later that it was not at all the car we had hoped. With it's well known transmission issues we realized we made a huge mistake and wanted to reverse the transaction and get something else. We went in right away and told Brett and Richard what the problem was and were honestly very worried about the dealership crossing their arms and saying "too bad". Surprisingly, Brett offered us an extension on the 5 day return plan (putting everything in writing so we were at ease) and immediately got to work on finding us another car that we would be happy with. He took us out to the lot and we test drove a few more cars, he said that he wanted us to be happy and that is what they care about the most. We were really interested in the Hyundai Elantra GT Hatchback as it resembled the Focus quite a bit, but North Country didn't have any on the lot. Brett said we could possibly get one brought here from another dealership, or buy one at an upcoming auction. A few hours after we left, Brett called and told us that there were 3 Elantra GT's that they could purchase at an auction and was asking us what colors and options we were interested in! When the car arrived, we took it out for a test drive, and they even let us make a pit stop at our Mechanic to check the car out and make sure it was in good shape. After getting the thumbs up from them, we brought it back and worked out all of the financial details for the second time and settled on another great deal on our part. It was still needing a cleaning, oil change and an alignment on the steering wheel -- Brett offered us a loaner car in the meantime, or told us we could take the Hyundai for the weekend and bring it back for an appointment to be detailed and taken care of. We continued to drive the Focus until the car was finished. We picked it up about 3 days later, and are IN LOVE with everything about the car. We are SO incredibly happy with the service we received at North Country Ford. It was our first time ever buying from a dealership (we've bought mostly Craigslist and Salvage Title vehicles from 3rd parties) and we will 100% be sure to return because of the way we were treated. Richard was a fun sales guy to work with, we enjoyed getting to know him and about his family. And Brett bent over backwards for us just to make sure we were happy all the while being friendly, open, honest and a trustworthy guy. We couldn't be happier with the car we ended up with, even after the whole mess. I wouldn't have wanted it to be any other way -- except maybe more easier on them! Because of the sticky situation, it showed us how much they care about their customers, and it will have us referring them for years and years to come. You won't be lied or cheated at this dealership, we felt like we were hanging out with our neighbors when visiting. THANK YOU North Country Ford! More
Transfer case fluid change After having my Edge at another repair shop for a fluid service, I was told they could not or would not change the transfer case fluid. And recommende After having my Edge at another repair shop for a fluid service, I was told they could not or would not change the transfer case fluid. And recommended replacing the transfer case at a cost of approximately $2500.00. This vehicle has 150,000 miles on it so I explained to Brent that if possible just change the fluid. It doesn't whine or vibrate so I'd rather use the borrowed time to save up for a new vehicle. I admit I've not been to a dealership for years but may make North Country my first call for my next repair. Brent was wonderful and I got a car wash before the car was returned. More
